I was just going through some old chapters and suddenly found something strange when Whitebeard and Shanks met.
There was a dialogue where WB said The wound I got from "that guy" aches whenever i see your face"

Thats interesting... Maybe roger? And he knew Shanks was on rogers ship... So when he sees shanks he thinks of roger.... But it could be blackbeard... But if he said the wound he himself got.. It couldnt be black beard.... All i know is no wound he got was greater than what akainu did to him

BB cant be that guy as Shanks was offering healing water(Sake most probably) to WB. It is someone from Shanks crew or maybe someone related to Shanks which has faced WB.

It can't be BB though as he hadn't left WB's crew that long ago before this meeting and it's not like those two regularly have get-togethers. So there shouldn't have been a particular reason for WB having aches each time he sees Shanks due to what Teach did as that was almost certainly the first time they met after BB's betrayal.

At first I also thought it was Roger but then nobody(wb/Shanks) spoke about him. So I thought it has something to do with his crew member who went before him to deliver his message.

You can have wounds to your pride. I think he meant wound of letting a crew mate kill another and get away. Could be wrong.

To be honest I think it's not Roger Zzz
Since WB would have called him by his name not addressing him by saying that guy. More importantly they discuss about Buggy but not Roger is also strange.
I think it's the guy Shanks sent to WB.
He probably started a fight with WB's pirates/alliance because he didn't liked how they treat them.
To dismiss the situation Shanks came with healing water(Sake) to WB but all things didn't went as planned. That's y they split the heavens. That's my theory

I don't know where to read viz translation but I checked it on anime. It's slightly different but WB said something similar.
And it's hard to believe he was talking about BB as Shanks told him later who gave him those scars.
