IT'S CALLED CHANGE!!!. Kishi just changed the part 2 manga's strongest hokage from hiruzen to hashirama. Kishi didn't visualize hashi controlling bijuu, healing himself without hand seals and defeating the most powerful antagonist(madara) during part1, so he gave the title of strongest kage and god of shinobi to hiruzen out of sympathy. END OF DISCUSSION.

Oh, and one last thing. Hashi being killed in war was just plot-no-jutsu. If hashi had lived, there wouldn't have been a 2nd and 3rd hokage since hashi being senju would have very long life.

When they say hizuren is the greatest hokage of all times... I dont think they included hishirama because he was considered a myth... But personally i dont think hizuren is even stronger than the fourth and there's no way he'll beat edo-madara... Lol

3. I hate the guy in step 2 more than the guy in step 1.
4. Therefore Hiruzen > Hashirama

Just putting a little joke (my opinion with it ) to stop the anger ^^
Honestly we cannot decide if saru>hashy or hashy>saru, there are many things we still dont know about both of them
I suggest that we reopen a Saru vs Hashy thread a bit later when we have more knowledge from both shinobis

Ok this is all fine and dandy, but if you read it you can tell its not kishi talking. One of the quotes was taken from iruka wasn't it? Kishi gave the characters in naruto opinions and this is the opinion of some in the manga. I seriously do not believe this is kishi talking or he wouldn't have used quotation marks. The datebooks also say shikamaru has. 5 in intelligence (the highest score possible), but we all know Shikaku is smarter than he is. The data books can be a bit misleading.

Hashirama took on the giant Susano'o. I doubt Hiruzen could do that. I mean even the five Kage would not have been able to handle that (As I saw it anyway)

Hiruzen was said to be stronger than Hashirama way back in the earlier chapters, a time when Kishimoto probably hadn't thought up the idea of Giant Susano'o or Double meteor jutsu. Now that he has shown how powerful Madara is and said that only Hashirama can beat him, I bet he's started to rethink the whole Hiruzen>Hashirama thing and probably hoping fans don't make a big deal out of it

'Coz stuff in manga can change. Unless Kishi suddenly makes up something to patch up that plot hole I'll stick with the idea that Hashirama>>>>>Hiruzen

Exactly. Earlier in the manga it says hiruzen was the strongest and later it's saying hashirama was the strongest.

Judging from the poll on this form more people see sense then don't see sense. They have used what they have seen in the manga and not what they have heard from fodders. Madara is showing use some of the landscape changing abilities him and hashi would of had but you hiruzen fanboys ignore him and believe fodders.

I absolutely forgot about that he actually pushed kurama no way he is amazing -__-

And what do you need to hold that staff while pushing the damn beast back? And that's Hiruzen's personal summon... why would you exclude Enma from the fight, when he uses it on almost every fight?

You people base your arguments on what you've seen only. Who knew that Minato could stop a TBB? But he did. Who knew that Hashirama could take on EMS Madara(Perfect Susano'o)? But he did.

I really don't know why Kishimoto hasn't shown more on Hiruzen, but I wish he would so we can end these arguments.
