there's no tangible proof for those who claim Hiruzen is stronger than Hashirama besides their fan wank and delusion

they will always cling to the outdated databook as to sort of make a point

and heaven forbid if you tell them the databook is just a supplementary source and the manga is the primary

it's sad really that no matter what we will witness in the manga this folks will always keep their wank and say but no hiruzen is stronger,even if Hashiram can casually control several tailed beasts,they'd still say Hiruzen wins because the author says so

Hiruzen was called the strongest in his prime. Hashirama's hype has not actually contradicted this as of yet. The end. You can't pick and choose what you think might not be correct in the manga because it doesn't seem right to you. That's poo.
