Who really is Toby??

Many of the theories posted here in NB are that perhaps and Toby is really ,somehow,a part Madara's soul that survived. But for someone to be resurected by edo tensei needs to be dead and Madara was really dead and by what I interpteted the revived Madara seems to have no knowledge of Toby (or his other being) but seems to know Nagato for some unknown reason. Another thing...why was Madara (or Toby)so afraid of "himself", allowing Kabuto to blackmailed him the first time he saw the coffin, This was the only reason Tobi allowed Kabuto alliance. My point is that,perhaps, and tobi is another person and not Madara at all!! What's your opinion guys???
