as you can see Hashirama and Yamato the only wood element users, excluding Madara, re-read 515 and aorund there to gte a better undersatnding. It's not proven that the zetsus were grown fomr Hashirama nut the do turn to plants when hit by naruto rase-shuriken, and wood element does help them
