Kyoka Suigetsu made you go wtf ten times over. Aizen deceived everyone from the very beginning with it and his huge intelligence. That, takes true power. To trap everyone you know in an illusion for hundreds and possibly thousands of years takes true strength. Saying it is an overpowered plot device still doesn't take away from how much it has done to provide interesting twists.
