Who is the next Hokage?

I think Naruto will become Hokage before the series end. Not sure if he will be the next, but he just might. Kakashi is ofcourse also a good candidate.

Kakashi simply truns it down because he's not the type.

Naruto (the 2nd obvious choice) turns it down because he's the 4th So6P and he's the 1st "UniKage" and he unites all the villages. The 5 villages decide to keep their respective kages as tradition and to help maintain balance and order since there are no more jinchuurikis'.

Sasuke gets turned by Itachi and Naruto; gets a pardon from the other Kages for his help in the war and Naruto and Kakashi back Sasuke as kage as a symbol of trust and to reestablish honor to the Uchiha for their service in the war.

Long story short... Sasuke but not until Kakashi and Naruto turn it down.

Here's what i believe.Kakashi gets offered the post of Hokage but he decides to be an interim Hokage untill Naruto acquires it at the end of the series.

Impossible? no... Improbable, yes! If you think about it, all of the grievances against him are from Kumogakure and from Mifune since he only killed a few fodder Samurai besides Danzou - whom nobody in Konoha (let alone the shinobi world would miss). The failed attempt to kidnap Bee and all the other things I presume would be forgiven and written off as casualties of war. If in the end he can manage to "save the shinobi world" along with Naruto.

Nothing is impossible unless Kishi says so... Just to be clear, I couldn't care if he was or wasn't made hokage. I thought I'd offer a different scenario to the obvious.

I think that all the shinobi nations will stay united after the war, either having Gaara (the damn commander of the joint shinobi army) or Naruto as their leader. I say Naruto because he is one of the last two surviving jinchuriki other than bee who lets face it is pretty retarded, and also because of the fact that the entire plot leading up to this has been about Naruto becoming Hokage and it's safe to assume Kishimoto will end it that way.

Naruto - Nope, too young, just a reckless little teenager, he may be strong, but he can't make the best decisions
Shikamaru - Maybe, he is smart, and about 40% of his laziness has disappeared
Kakashi - Probably, he is smart and strong, son of the famous White Fang of the Konoha
Itachi - He is a damn... HERO. He has to be, but he was just resurrected :/
Konohamaru - Even if he's too young, I have a prediction that Naruto might die and Konohamaru becomes the Hokage and will say "Naruto-niichan, I beat you *kure*... I will protect Konoha, just like you wanted.", OR NOT.
