First off, I'm going to say everyone on that list is really smart. Okay, it's obvious Shikaku is smarter than Shikamaru. That guy's planned the war pretty much by himself, so he deserves #1.

Er im not sure about outsmarting itachi. It just so happens that the snake bastard has left a mark (cm) on quiet a lot of people and as long as these people are alive oro can be revived.

Do agree though that orochimaru definitely deserves a shout out.
Anyway this thread is subjective as is the term intelligence
