Most intelligent:

Orochimaru - He never possessed any means to figure out anything, but was able to deduce the Uchiha Tablet on a mere hypothesis. He's also a known creator of forbidden techniques and creates many techniques on a whim. He is also a heralded genius by many.

Tobirama - Creator of Edo Tensai, FTG AND Shadow Clone Jutsu, and a battle expert. He established everything Konoha has thrived on; The police force, military corps, Chunin Exam, schooling etc.

Minato - Also a genius from birth, he created the Rasengan by merely observing a TBB; which is no small feat. He made FTG even more powerful and was said to be a once in a generation genius by Jiraiya.

Itachi - Besides being a prodigious Uchiha, Itachi's view on life was philosophical and he understood things that many could not. His concept on reality and its relative realism is astounding.

Most Knowledgeable:

MADARA - Madara is knowledgeable, far more than everyone else. He was born with the means to; Having the potential to read the Uchiha tablet. That is where his knowledge comes from.

Kabuto - All his research came from his tandem from Orochimaru and so is his knowledge. He's intelligent, but just like Madara, in the knowledge way.


Intelligence and knowledge are two different spectrums.

1. Orochimaru
2. Itachi
3. Tobirama
4. Hiruzen

Most likely. But I was just noting that Orochimaru's intelligence is a by-product of his own ability whereas the knowledge Kabuto obtained was because of his tandem with Oro himself.

That's the point. I distinguished between knowledge and intelligence. Knowledge and intelligence are different and this applies to Kabuto and Orochimaru respectively.
