Also the way the ninja academy works was never explained But according to Kakashi only nine people pass sasuke failed in team work after the massacre everytime naruto failed everything and any of the other k11 prolly either were held back by their parents or failed the training test afterwards.

Sasuke is older. Naruto failed the test a couple times but they probably had it several times as practice in the Academy. So he failed the checkpoints, but when it came time to graduate with everyone else, after the interaction he had with Iruka he was allowed to pass.
