Fapping aside, I think Naruto messed with the way that lava Rasenshuriken detonated. If you think about it, that Rasenshuriken worked completely different than all his others, it had more of a cutting shockwave than the dome burst it usually has. It may of had something to do with how in close proximity Gai was in.

Well, Naruto fought the Madara before he absorbed the Shinju Tree. Logically he would damage him more due to that. Sasuke though damaged the Post Shinju Madara who was stronger than the Madara who was hit by Naruto's Lava FRS..

Technically, he used Limbo and ran from both Naruto and Sasuke. To get his other Rinnegan.

Madara stated he needed his rinnegan because they arent ordinary kids. they are powerful. He never ran from Sasuke specifically. He retreated from them BOTH to gain a tactical advantage. Sasuke just chased him down. Madaras black orbs were FTG away by Minato. If Madara was at full strentgh with all orbs he could have easily blocked that. But he knew he wouldnt die considering he thought about and praised sasukes speed.
