Well, I have been involved with Naruto only for about 2 years. I am from the states but actually live in Korea. I went to visit the family and my cousin was watchin Naruto one day. I started to watch some of the early episodes with him and found Naruto exiting and fun to watch. Somehow I got infected with something that day and could not stop watching it.

Once back at Korea, downloaded and watched every possible episode. Watched most episodes more than once; some others more than several times and I do not keep track. Once I was done watching all episodes, I started reading all mangas from the beggining. I am not sure why, but I am sure I was completely glued to Naruto and wanted to read/watch everything that was available/released.

Naruto has became an integral part of my week to week routine. If I do not watch or read something new, I get a little disappointed, but just go over some of the old mangas and anime episodes that a really liked the most.

I have read posts from this forum for several months for information, entertainment, read other's point of view, or just plainly have fun. But, just recently decided to join the crowd.

well i started wachin naruto about 4 years ago.
A friend of mine kept braggin about it, so i gave it a try and eventually fell asleep after i watched 25 eps back to back.
whenever i hear the first ending theme, it still makes me reminisce about that beautiful day i got introduced to the series and i recently but it back as ma ringtone :p
so from there on i was hooked and raced home each thursday to download the next ep, even when we had the most ridiculous long fillers i still kept maself up to date.

I didnt started reading the manga untill sasuke betrayed orochimaru and I fell in love with them ever since.
to be honest, i actually prefer the manga now, mostly becuz i know what's going to happen in the anime but also becuz ya get this sence af action and movement, even though your looking at pictures.
it really made me respect kishi work even more.

so yeah i watch both with a passion and I actually cant really picture life without my weekly dose of naruto.

god bless kishi

amen :D

I think it's pretty much the same path for everyone...notice on tv, watch the anime online, can't get enough, start reading the manga.

Both

I've read on NB that the anime isn't done by kishi so some people don't count whatever happens in the the anime. but don't you think that the timing of some of the stuff that comes out in anime is peculiar at least?

case in point. a lot of people wonder what and if naruto will have a second element. some say fire and some say water. in the manga it's not addressed. but in the anime i've counted two instances where water was brought up. once when naruto was training with yamoto and another time when he was practicing his synchronization with the frogs, Jman mentioned it. but that's just an example. what i'm wondering is... wouldn't something as important as that HAVE to coincide with the anime? i mean, if naruto ended up having fire as a second element then the anime and manga would completely contradict each other right? they may tell different stories but i think it's important to know that the both are headed in the same direction.

that's true, they should talk about it, the anime should be (or he already) aware of the manga direction...
