the other way round, in order to use the rinnegan (apparently) one needs amazing chakra reserves.
i've heard this idea before, imo it's likely. though being related doesn't mean much, unless Kishi elaborates on this it could be interpreted either the way you explained or as intermarriages between the two clans.
Madara said she received some chakra... not sure if that means all of her chakra. besides Tsunade is also of Uzumaki lineage, why do people keep bringing her up? she is best known as Hashirama's granddaughter because he was more well-known and influential than his wife, but Tsunade basically relies in seals and her taijutsu. sure, she has found a way to combine seals with Hashirama's regenerating technique, which is awesome imo.... but i don't see much similarity between the two of them to say she is clearly Senju-oriented. not to mention that since her grandparents were both Senju and Uzumaki she just inherited randomly some characteristics from both clans.
back on topic: Uzumaki because other than Hashirama we haven't seen a Senju with large chakra reserves to rival what we know for the Uzumakis: Mito and Kushina strong eough chakra to seal and suppress the kyubi (and the kyubi as it was in its original form before Minato took away half its chakra) and Nagato mastering the rinnegan.
ps. Tobirama seems impressive but not to the extent to have this unique chakra and chakra reserves. more like better than a lot of shinobi.
If i may contribute the uzumaki have more chakra than the senju.. That because their hair is also made up of chakra ..for e.g. Let luk at Nagato when he was fighting with naruto ..though he did not have any chakra left he was still able to pull out so many life due to his red hair chakra i think the uzumaki have more chakra than the rest of all.. That my opinion ... Datebayo

maybe senju , see tsunade chakra she kept alive so many people in pain fight ,(even though she stored some, but naruto can't do that)

Neither has 'more chakra'. What kind of BS is that? You're basically saying that a certain clan has a higher capacity for having chakra which is pure BS. Senju (as a clan) = Uzumaki (as a clan) in terms of chakra.
The amount of chakra they have is purely dependant on the Shinobi themselves; the clan they come from is totally irrelevant.
Now that I've brought the right answer to the thread posting any more will only be a waste of time and effort.

Oh please....Tsunade? Come on, she spends MONTHS/YEARS storing chakra on that seal, that chakra aint coming from her own chakra coils/network, it has been stored and accumulated in her forehead, and even then, what she has done is still nothing to what Nagato and Naruto have done.
Naruto is the guy that can make thousands of shadow clones in a day.
Nagato can spam BOSS LEVEL summons for a whole day in his sickened state and spam S rank ninjutsu at the same time (Shinra Tensei, Bansho Tenin, Naraka Path, Chibaku Tensei, Asura Path missiles) and still have chakra to ressurect a whole village. Stop trolling us here.

They both have alot. Some of it has to do with the clan but some depends on the shinobi themselves. I just want to point out a couple characters that back my words up. None of these are uzumaki or senju jiraiya - huge chakre res, saratobi- huge chakra res, gaara- huge chakra res,A-huuge chakra res, 3rd raikage- huge chakra res, even uchiha madara- huge chakra res. It doesnt neccesarely matter what clan, sime memvers hae higher chakra reserves than other people in other clans. The uzumaki just have a strong life force chakra which guare ntees ling life and senju have strong physical chakra which meabs they have super human strength.thats all. Chakra res wise it totally depends on the person

why people keep counting Tsunade and Naruto as Senju?
Tsunade is definitely mixed, her grandfather was Senju and her grandmother was Uzumaki, meaning she inherited randomly certain attributes from one and some from the other, including anything else from her parents. the reason she is usually mentioned in regards to Hashirama is because he was the well-known leader who, well, changed the world whereas his wife is not as famous. to be fair though, Tsunade relies mostly on fuinjutsu and taijutsu in her combat style; sure, she has this special seal which mimics one of Hashirama's abilities (healing/ regenerating without hand seals) but even that is a mix between Hashirama's method and fuinjutsu. there is nothing making her more Senju from Uzumaki, not even in her combat style!
and Naruto is Uzumaki, don't know anything about Namikaze and if that's a clan or not, let alone if they are related to the Senjus! which means that he should be counted amongst the Uzumakis! meaning he inherited his chakra reserves from his mother, unless Kishi reveals sth else later.

You just contridicted yourself.... lmaoo. Proof that it was canon??? umm idk the fact it is in a Naruto Game... The fact that Kishi approved it.....Now can you prove its not canon?? or that kishi didn't make it?? NOPE.
Tsunade has more chakra then Kakashi..... there are Clans thats specify in something. And senju are known for having Sage's body. You say it depends on the individual.. well of course it does. But there are also clans that have more chakra. Nagato was a Hax.

Uh no. Tsunade is known as Tsunade Senju.. due to her parents being Senju. lol. Hashirama's > Mito's

all those saying senju are soooooooooooo wrong. Pain is uzumaki and so is kushina, and their chacra cant be compared to tsunades' or minatos'.
