Itachi he had been waiting for death so long and enduring his illness + Mangekyo side-effects. Not to say that Jiraya didn't have a painful death. His whole throat was crushed by Pain rods but Itachi was on the brink of the death for so long

Probably the most painful before that was Jiraiya. Not only did he have a brutal death but he also realized in the end he died to his student, someone he loved and thought would save the world. Though he did find peace in the end.

IDK guys, being suffocated/crushed alive by sand doesn't sound too great.

It took Izuna days to die and his eyes got ripped out so that doesn't seem like fun either.
