Both had it rough but Naruto the most for me.

Even if it was for like 7-9 years of joy for Sasuke, that should be worth it as Naruto has nothing of what he could really say like childhood...

I say Nagato was worse too..
1. He loses his parents when he was child
2. He spent his childhood in the middle of the war cuz Amegakure is a battlefield area (Naruto and Sasuke lives in peaceful area)
3. He lives in a misery and almost die because starving..
4. He good friend die in front of his eye

Pretty hard choice. While Naruto Never knew his family, he did get to meet them as a young adult. And there are still Uzamaki's out there.

While Sasuke on the other hand lost his entire clan, except Madara, killed his own brother out of not knowing the truth, and leaving it so he really doesn't have anyone left.

I'd say it's almost about equal.

I have to go with sasuke on this. Come on now, not only did his brother, whom he idolized, kill his whole clan but he actually witnessed him kill their parents in front of him. Could you imagine watching that and knowing you're powerless to stop it, that nothing you can do can change anything that's about to happen? That would be the worst pain in the world. And then there's how itachi was forced into his position and therefore sasuke purposefully had his heart contorted and filled with anger and rage and false stories of his own brothers betrayal only to learn that above all else the brother sasuke loved so dearly did everything he did, to protect sasuke. And sasuke is still suffering from everything that's happened in the beginning of the show.

Sure, naruto had it rough but only for 12 years and im sure he didnt do anything on his own. He had iruka and the hokage watching over him. The only suffering he has now is the bond with sasuke and that pales in comparison to sasukes suffering.

you could make the same argument that jiraya, kakashi, or even iruka could have been naruto's father even if it wasnt through blood. naruto even stated himself In The Show that having iruka sensei would feel like having a father. as for a mother i still think that kushina was and is the only one that could have taken that spot and i was really touched on they way they put her into the series.

as an opposing argument to this i say that naruto may have had it rough for the first 7-9 years of his life, but since then everything has been getting better. id say that since then he has also had 7-9 years and counting of happiness. sasukes suffering is still ongoing and will continue until the last fight between him and naruto.U_UU_UU_U

Sasuke had everything, his clan, his life, his happiness. It was all taken away from him on that day.

But think about it.....
Naruto had nothing from day one, but the reason of why he was alone that whole time (9 tails). It looks like it gets better for the kid, but if you were naruto would you really think that. He lost sasuke to revenge and hate, j-mane got trashed by his own studet, garra was dead before the fight to get his body back, he had to kill a couple of akatsuki... Even though they are the antagonist, its still hard to take someones life.... People are dying in the war for him too, and I know that he knows whats goin on, and naruto has suffered years longer then sasuke has.

Sasuke had it worse.. I don't like the character sasuke anymore but still i gotta give this one to him.. Maybe at first naruto had a harder time... but then sasukes clan got killed.. which i guess is quite a bummer.. he killed his own brother for it who turned out to be good after all.. so all the hatred and fleeing the city when he was younger turned out quite useless.. Imagine living with orochimaru for three yours for nothing dont consider him the greatest host.. Naruto meanwhile gets to know more people.. more people acknowledge him.. he makes lots and lots of new friends.. grows stronger and succesful.. sasuke meanwhile keeps bleeding out of his eyes.. gets trashed around by every enemy he fights so he's kinda constant in this place where he needs to bite a redhaired ugly chick with glasses so that he can get up again to bleed some more.. burn some people.. and get slapped again... naruto on the other hand learns an awesome sage jutsu.. which doesnt make his eyes bleed + gives him the power to throw his fuuton.. which makes him one of the strongest dudes alive.. he saves the city.. becomes the new hero of leaf village... so maybe sasuke started better then naruto.. but.. in the end he turned out way worse... and they're still not dead.. so I think sasuke had definetly had the harder life..

i love how you say this but essentially after the bridge incident naruto was nonstop making friends and collecting mentors, father figures, and allies. if you look when he comes back from fighting pain at the picture of the ENTIRE village cheering for him and saying that he should be hokage. naruto had it rough in the very beginning and that was it.
