I don't get how he destroyed hip hop when he part innovated the game being in the business for way over a decade.. Plus,
in the mixtape circuit is one the MOST respected and downloaded, period. Albums aren't as good as they used to be, but still.... He's making moves.

Only artists I listen to are Wale, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, J Cole to some extent, and ASAP Rocky. I'm taking a break from hip hop until September when Drake's album releases cause it's in a very sad state right now. J Cole And Wale's albums were good ( haven't heard Jay Z's) but Kanye's Yeezus? Just terrible

The fans are the ones who pay the artists, so technically it's the sheep fans that have no mind that destroyed hip-hop

I never liked Wayne people just used to band wagon him now look at him. Listen to his recent songs and you'll know what I mean the guys a poser, and his music is terrible I only like a few of his songs, and what moves are he making? Him and his entire group(YMCMB excluding Drake) is trash

You're listening to the wrong artists my friend I won't lie there are alot of songs that promotes all that nonsense but there are tons of artists that actually sends decent messages via their songs

I didn't listen to hip hop back then so I can't really say.

Nobody did. Lil Wayne sucks, but Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Eminem, Slaughterhouse, Ab-soul and others are keeping alive.

Yea most people compare B.I.G. to Tupac I honestly feel as though Biggie was the better rapper Biggie used to say shit that would just get you hyped up stuff that most people don't think about Tupac was just more poetic which more people liked I think his rap skills are kinda over rated though

People like Wayne and chief keef give hip hop a bad name though

Both were great, but Biggie was better. He's probably the closest thing to a true rapper ever. But I really only like Eminem now. I can't stand Drake. My college roommate blasted the same 4 Drake songs all day haha. Also don't like Kendrick Lamar. Wayne is just garbage. Why can't someone kill him?

Who says I listen to old school?

I understand what you mean, the whole Skater/Gangster switchover hasn't worked well for me, and I grew up a hardcore Wayne fan, now I don't defend him as much anymore because I know he's slipping. But to deny his achievements in the game I do take some offense. (As a fan) And YMCMB's a joke now, aside from Drake.. When Tyga broke out he was actually alright, same to say with Nicki Minaj, Gudda Gudda was extremely hit & miss but now... They're trying TOO hard to reinvent themselves and it's failing... Terribly.

And to those who believe hip hop is dead is way too on the mainstream scene, it's far from dead.
