Which version of the anime is better than the other ?

So, i'm planing to watch HunterXHunter's anime since i have the whole February in pause from studies/collage, but i'm confused...

It haves 2 versions, the 1999 version and the 2011. Is there any difference between both ? :wut:

Remakes don't necessarily mean better. Some people consider the original Fullmetal Alchemist better than Brotherhood aswell as others like Hellsing and Hellsing Ultimate...

2011 had better animation(obviously) but 99 version had better music imo.

Both are great but I would pick 99

But Brotherhood stuck to canon as opposed to the original.

OT: I believe 2011 likewise, sticks to canon more and has better pacing. That's what they say, anyway.

Do what I did and just watch them both for comparisons. I'd advise starting with 99 because it's easier to go to new graphics than back to old. I was watching them ep by ep and that was pretty fun, ep 1 99 then ep 1 2011 ep 2 99 ep 2 2011 etc. 2011 goes further though.

People who think the crappy tv hellsing is better than hellsing ultimate deserves to be hit in the face with a shovel.

Well, thank you guys for all the replies, i'll watch the 2011 version instead, and if i fall in love with it, i'll probably check out the 1999 version aswell.
