Shikamaru is extremely intelligent and can come up with elaborate plans to take out his opponent (this is generally speaking, not Shika vs. Hidan). Zabuza, not so much. The odds are sort of against Shika in the intelligence field, and shadow jutsu could pose a serious problem. :shrug:

Zabuza tried taking on the fourth mizukage which turned out to be tobi
he did not win but still he is very strong his silent killing technique is known
through out the lands.With a similar career backround.

well was able to put kakashi in that water style prison at first and even kakashi knew he was a goner, so if naruto and sasuke diddnt intervene then maybe he would have won that 1 on 1, and kakashi was at one point appointed to be the hokage after tsunade fell in to the coma and danzo died so i guess zabuza can beat a kage hahaha nah not realy hahaha

all the 5 kages are beyond what zabuza would amount to even if he stayed alive, i am a big zabuza fan but like all the other guys say know your fanboy limits hahahahaha because you will get OWNED on NB if you post silly threads hahaha

@ShanEyee the burden of proof is on you to prove that Zabuza can beat a kage. He's not beating Raikage or Tsuchikage so we can get rid of those two right off the bat. Prove to everyone that he could beat Mei, Tsunade or Gaara. I think he could give gaara a run for his money but to me I think he ultimately loses to Tsunade because she's older than him so she has more experience with battles. Same goes for Mei olus she has many more kekkai genkai as well as being able to use mist and suiton just like Zabuza.

I think the only one he could have any chance against would be Gaara because his water style could make his sand useless, but still Gaara could make more, so Gaara wins anyway.
