I would go with susanoo, because it has more abilities and it is a stronger defence than gaaras sand.

well im torn because according too itachi fans it can be sealed by itachis susanno blade of totsuka but as we saw gedo mazo is capable of killing 100s in a min so i dont know i think its the case of an unstoppable object meets an immovable force so i guess gedo mazo is stronger

Well I'll go with Gedo Mazo
From my understanding the sword of totsuka seals a person's soul. I'm not sure if Gedo Mazo even has a soul or if it's just a monster controled by the summoner. It has the ability to seal and the fact is every Susanoo doesn't come with the weapons Itachi has so you have to base it on what Susanoo starts out with, no weapons just it's form and how you can manipulate it. That's just what I think though.
