Well my opinion on the Japan west matter. Well, we created the atlas, we set its bounds on where the middle is and where the west and where the east is. But lets say Alaska for example you can say that Japan is on its West, as the distance is shorter than its distance to the east. Everything is both east and west anywhere on the globe, except the poles (as you can only go south on the north pole and north on the south pole).

On topic I choose guitar but than again piano is epic too. I play both but I enjoy playing guitar more.

Guitars, however, sound only good..sometimes. xd it depends what song they're playing. IMO

You can find a good guitar player easily. I stil haven't met someone who plays the piano or keyboard as their hobby. I'd say keyboard > guitar because its simply more unique and alot more involved with music theory.
