Which Hype? God of Shinobi (Hashi) or God of Shinobi (Hiruzen)

It isnt just his ability, it's his overall presence and knowledge. He clearly isn't the strongest, but his is very intelligent in his field (Uchiha) and influencing others. Those who have been given the title were obviously strong, the strongest of their time but that alone (i doubt) would have given the title "God of Shinobi" as we've seen, it's so much more than that.

For me, isn't his ability and intellect combined that would give him that title for HIS generation. This isn't saying he is the strongest or most intelligent. His stature is just so high in the series, that even Kish makes it apparent that he cant be ignored in major situation (the bastard)

Yes, but the "God of shinobi" doesn't suit Itachi because of his improper decisions. He also, had more growing up to do (see able in the manga, when he meets sasuke again). Also, the "God of shinobi" have always been Leaders and people of HIGH OP power (Hashirama and SO6P). Itachi however lacks that.

"God of shinobi" isn't a each generation thing. Its once in a while.

power-wise they all ranged, the 1st of OP for crafting one just (basically), while the 3rd was OP for knowing many (not the best at them). Itachi did something that any Hokage would have done for the village, he put them above his own family/clan (idk if they would have dont that). The way he went about his decisions were questionable, but required as duties.

He was lying to himself about who he was, he tried to be others, be orochimaru...But why would he lie to himself about his chess piece being part of his power?
