I don't plan on installing anything and not every software needs internet.dont get a Chromebook you have to have internet to use it effectively and cant install anything other then extensions/apps cant even attempt to run .exe files
get a windows based laptop instead.
Why? He can get something better for half the costget a mac yo
yes tell the guy who clearly is on a budget if hes suggesting he needs a chrome book to get a product that's overpriced out of date hardware.get a mac yo
trust me even if you get a samsung chrome book it will still lag with like 7 tabs open and its basic functions is to run as many tabs because it was built for it so youre a better of finding something a little better like everyone has said.I'll be attending college again this fall and need a Chromebook. Which one? Samsung, HP, HP Pavilion, or Toshiba?
between 250 and 300. i would get a chromebook even if there is a laptop/netbook that priceDon't buy a Chromebook - it's not worth it. If it's going to be for college, the thing you're looking for would have:
- A decent price
- Average specs
- A long battery life
- Portability
Because of this, I suggest either a tablet/laptop. Some ones I can think of are:
- HP Pavillion series
- Toshiba Satellite
- Windows Surface (tablet)
What is your price range anyway?
A Chromebook starts at around $350 and offer less quality than you would find in other laptops of the same price. I would try looking for a laptop with an AMD processor in it because they're far cheaper in longer term and short term because not only do they consume much less power than the Intel processor, but because some AMD processors can have integrated graphics. This means that a VGA card is more than enough, driving the price down even further.between 250 and 300. i would get a chromebook even if there is a laptop/netbook that price

Tablets are relatively new technology, so they are bound to be expensive (the Windows Surface 2 being a prime example, costing almost $1000 depending on the storage space). Stick away from those nasty things.
