Where is the byakugan originated from

There basically 2 clans,
1. The uchiha, known to be the clan which have the eye power (sharingan) of the SOT6P
2. The senju clan, known to be the clan which have the physical body strenght and techniques of the SOT6P, which separated into various clans which have only the body techniques and skills e.g nara clan, aburame, uzumaki, e.t.c

.......the senju clan couldnt have separated into a clan with the byakugan

The Byakugan isn't part of the Sage's legacy, it doesn't fit anywhere in the story line for now.

If it was True then the Byakugan is linked to So6p much more than the sharingan is. But in the latest chp Madara sharingan evolved into the rinnegan
