I Want to go to Belgium! D:
Been there. Going there again soon! It's an interesting place--esp Antwerp for me. :)

both the fries and beer are the best in the world. Especially the beer and that's a face.
Indeed. They got LOTS of kinds of beers. I myself got confused on what to get. A colleague of mine made me try a sherry-like beer (idk if it's actually a sherry wine but it had a hint of a malted beer taste).

Also, I love the vol au vent (koninginnehapje)!

Anyway, I'm not from Belgium, but I go there and to Breda (Netherlands) from time to time because of my job. I'm from the Philippines.

Really? I knew they were famous for their chocolate and beer... but fries? I just learn something new today. xd
Actually, french fries originated in Belgium. They call it "frites". They highly digress that it came from France because of the term "French" added before the "fries".

Thanks for sharing chica. :) Was actually interested looking for Berlin wall remains, but I'll try to look for Dusseldorf's Karneval as well. ;)

:glomp: that's the spirit and yes koninginnenhapje is great xd

And I think the thing you drunk could be a "kriek". It is literally translated as sherry. It's a sherry-based beer, though it's very soft and doesn't contain much alcohol. It's very good

Yes, french fries is just a name. Don't forget that half of Belgium speaks French + we have been rules by France in the past + the Belgian elite in the previous centuries spoke French. Dutch was a language for the "common people".

Yeah, that's what it's called. :)

I noticed that when I went to Brussels (coz I was staying in Ghent and most speak in Dutch), I think almost everyone speaks French there. I really don't know about the history, but one of my coworkers told me that those who use French as their first language hardly speak (or aren't that much fluent) in Dutch, whilst those who are actually Dutch speakers can speak French fluently. Hmmm... that's something. wait 2 secs to reload the image
