SameI'll stick with my Nintendo DS.
Yeah I share that sentiment :| I mean it's a cool tech gimmick, but I don't think VR will find a permanent home in gaming consolesI doubt virtual reality headsets will make much of an impact. It's like the wii, people will get hyped at first but realize how limited and flawed it can be compared to hand controlled consoles like Xbox or PlayStation
PC is going down hill as well. All the games that come out now seem to be crap. Developers focus on graphics instead of story and gameplay nowadays. Also, this newer games are very unoptimized. Look at Dark Souls 3, it's an awesome game. It's a shame i can't enjoy it atm because it's an awfull console port. It runs like crap even on higher end computers. I hope they release a patch to fix this framerate issues.PC gaming is where it at! The Master Race will always be here.
Did you expect Firm Software to get good at PC ports.PC is going down hill as well. All the games that come out now seem to be crap. At least dark souls 2 was very well optimized. I ran it at 60 without even dropping to 59 fps in my old laptop at max settings.Did you expect Firm Software to get good at PC ports.Namco Bandai (or whatever they call themselves now) itself has never really published a good PC port XD
Yeah, I played that too, but it's also true that Firm dropped out a lot of the graphic effects that were planned for that game specifically because they weren't capable of optimizing that game well enough. At least dark souls 2 was very well optimized. I agree. Was bad gaming journalism as always.I actually face-palmed after watching the video...
@bold made me laugh XDJust wanna add that I don't think the iPhone model would work for consoles. No one wants to buy the "cheap" PS#, and making multiple iterations of a model which should be able to run every new game with varying levels of performance and quality wouldn't be cost-effective. Mobile gaming is different because the power difference between mobile devices, as well as the power required to run any given mobile game, is never really all that great. As long as you have any iPhone or a mid-to-flagship-level Android smartphone, you're set for years.
The Xbox One was already getting way too ahead of itself (Microsoft said they would sellYou must be registered for see links, they haven't even come close to beating the PS2). Expecting to sell consoles every year is even dumber, and I don't think they can get the price point down to where people would want to do that - plus, what would you do with your old console? What would they do with the old consoles?
The console developer companies are realizing the market isn't as big as they thought it was.
That Xbox One crap always makes me laugh though XD
Apple is pretty much the same system as PC and PC is set to overtake console gaming :sdo: the only difference between Apple and PC is that their software (Apple Store) is exclusive to their hardwareApple's business model is horrible. I mean good for sheep and businesses but not good for people who know the value of money.
How is it for developers and actual games though?
Games die even before new console switches anyways. I think being able to play my old games on my new console is great though but like you said digital sales suck.@bold made me laugh XD
I do think there is some merrit to this though. Take Nintendo for example. Rather than having separate console with different coding, the NX is supposedly a platform (OS) where all Nintendo games will run on. Even when the console generation shifts the OS will just get an upgrade, and the company will put out new hardware.
God knows that none of us want to change consoles like Apple changes Iphones, but I personally think that turning video games more OS united where old games never die is a good thing.
The problem is this seems to be pushing more digital game sales![]()
