They do count whether you care about the person or not. You people like to use the excuse that in real war people die, but it is also true that in real war there are no main characters and fodder characters (yes I know the military definition for fodder and it does not have the same definition that this base gives the word). A death is a death. Period! The closest thing to a main character in a real war is a general and even then it takes a lot more than killing the general or his friend to end a war. The opposing army aims to kill everyone. Therefore every death counts.Fodders and a couple of characters dying don't count.
