This is heavily exaggerated at least from my viewpoint. I guess it depends on how heavy the relationship is.
My friends make plans pretty easy even if one of them has a girlfriend. Usually they will just bring her along. Clearly we give them space so they can do whatever they would do, but one of my friends merely having a girlfriend hasn't affected much at least from my experience.

For real though, my friends turn into snakes. Like they can't make plans and shit, because they THINK they might go with their girl, or sometimes we're doing some shit and one of them is just looking at nothing, spaced out and upset or some shit, smh.
