when (you) should thank or rep someone *PLZ READ*

k first off a lot of ppl catch flack for creating B.S threads fishing for THANKS and/or REPS..........very understandable and also irritates me

but...........

there are times when you should thank and/or rep someone regardless of whether or not the thread/post was deemed "usefull" by you...

such as....................

1-when the threadmaker goes above and beyond to bring info to the table...I.E images,links,facts

2-im of the belief that whoever posts the spoilers/manga/whatever thread 1st should get to keep it in their name (btw i'm never 1st......in fact like 6 hrs behind)........many members go through the effort of finding bringing them to the public 1st and the admins and mods reep the rewards.......its unfair........some of us do feel like we have been bamboozled/jacked.........YOU STEAL OUR THUNDER!!!!!!!!.........j/k

3-it takes time to formulate some of these threads (the quality ones anyway) and its a shame that a lot of that hard work goes unrewarded for a couple examples of my own:

don't take this as whining or b*tching........i'm speaking on behalf of all those who have not gotten the reps they deserve.............just take into account the effort and time the person put into making the thread (it doesn't matter whether you agree or not)....

In general i agree with you that we should thank people who work hard to create a nice thread.
Plus it is also annoying, when people thank their friends for nothing, just cause they are their friends.
But we can't force anyone to rep someone else.
That is not democratic and also not fair at all.
I have stated before that i don't believe in the rep system anyway, cause it is being abused by some members.
So i understand what you mean, i agree with you but i don't see something that can be done about it.

im just trying to remind the NB members out there that it takes a lot of effort to make a quality thread......for instance i dont agree with miggy69's madara/obito/tobi thread.......but i rep him none the less becuz ino how much work he went thru to make it........same with leonmccash........i dont agree with the majority of his threads......but same deal......i will repay him for his hard work..........and ya some ppl make threads just to try and boost their REP.......but they are still giving us reading mat'l........and sometimes its actually pretty good.......making that light go offf in our brains........exposing us to sumthin we hadn't thought of b4........

so in a way it could be very good for NB, resulting in members trying to come up with new theories and ideas for the soul purpose of getting REP points.......readers will only benefit from this,mpst likely also causing ppl that were strictly readers to express their own ideas
