If they manage a centralized government it may stop nation wars but that central government will turn their military might on the people.

People will always have differing ideologies, morals etc. There will always be conflict between people for those reasons and also anyone that opposes the central government will be targeted by that power. I imagine there would be genocide on a level never before seen.

Peace exists because of the concept of war. There lies an eternal duality where one cannot exist without the other.
We obtain peace in the absence of war, but does the mere absence of it breed the very concept of peace we are hoping for?
Without war, people won't even dread for peace. Everything must be in moderation. If only people would meet halfway and fight the right wars for the right reasons, only then we can find true peace.
