Last year at my best friend's older brother's funeral. He was giving a eulogy about his brothers life and how great of a person he was, and he started talking about this one childhood memory he had of him. It was something about them playing at a park or their backyard, and him hurting his ankle not being able to walk. His older brother had him wrap around his arms around his neck to carry him on his back, but they were around the same size, so his brother struggled to carry him, the entire time he was carrying him, his brother kept repeating "hold on, dont let go, we're almost there...", and midway through he bursted in to tears, which ****ed me up pretty bad and had me and everyone else crying. There was not one dry eye during that procession.

I hadn't cried in years since that day and forgot how painful and hot tears were. I almost cried midway through typing this cause of how heavy that story felt. Crying feels good man.

id feel really awkward at funerals like this

I got really stressed out at work one day and burst out crying loud liek a bitsch, then a co-worker slapped me right in the **** and told me that I'm a grown-up man and should not cry liek a *****. Since that day, I've been working on my triggers and re-wiring the neural networks for deep learning levitation in my brain to reflect a new, reborn being from the starz of the planet Juno.

Said farewell to an old friend I will likely never see again, so I teared up a bit on the car ride home.

there's a difference in cries.

Crying, can be a wired habit, and succumbing to those emotions. Crying can also be a sign of a mental breakdown, I still wouldn't cry though. You cry, you're mostly weak...male or female. You can't handle life.

Crying is stupid, especially when you're an adult.I don't encourage people to be weak, or people entitling themselves to crying in order to express deeper emotions.I feel like it shows a lack of mental development.

Crying is simply "I can't handle it, and I expect someone to make it better".Crying is for babies, literally.

Couldn't cry, even if I wanted to. Lmao.

Crying is natural and part of being a human being, of having feelings etc.

A sign of weakness would be not crying at all because it makes you weak. It would show that you're a very oblivious and ignorant person in my opinion.

"people entitling themselves to crying in order to express deeper emotions."

You're assuming everyone does that. And even then i don't see the problem with it but w/e, maybe you're a robot incapable of basic human emotions? lol

And, here, I'm left with a bunch of fabrications.

You wanna know what I think, I think whatever I said, hit a nerve.Definitely described you.

No one assumed everyone does that, I simply said I don't encourage people to do that, based off of what I've noticed from a lot of people. So your point doesn't even make any sense.

And there's "oblivous", and then there's "I see it, but I don't give a shit", which is often me.Don't get the two mixed up. I've seen it all, actually.

Way to get all petty and start jumping to conclusions calling me a robot and such.Certainly shows your maturity level.

The way you said it as if everyone who cries does it to express themselves to others, it did came across to me like you were making that assumption.

And there's "oblivous", and then there's "I see it, but I don't give a shit", which is often me.Don't get the two mixed up. I've seen it all, actually.

Okay. But you still made it clear that you don't cry yourself because it makes you weak and it's for babies so... Maybe there is some truth in what i said?

Dude, chill. I wasn't being serious if you couldn't tell by the "lol" at the end.

I've been in that situation where I had no idea who the deceased person was which made me feel awkward when everyone around me is on the edge of having an emotional breakdown. In this case, I knew the deceased through his brother, and his brother is a brother to me, so seeing him like that is what really got me.

Empathy's a strong thing; that's all I gotta say.

It's weird, I remember my Auntie and Dad dying, and there being so many people around me crying each time and calling me strong for not crying myself.

But the reality was that I wasn't being strong, i simply just felt nothing. Somehow, death doesn't phase me, but holding in anger is what makes me cry. I'll never understand myself.
