That's because he's been manipulated since he was no older than 8, what the F would you do if you lived your entire life to accomplish one thing and then find out it was all a lie, and the person who suffered most through it all was really shielding the people that forced him to suffer?
I don't think Sasuke is necessarily being constantly manipulated but it's more of a lack of maturity. His actions of lashing out are all those of a hurt child (and that's understandable considering his past). He can't let go of all his pain (a reoccurring theme in Naruto) and he just takes his anger out on the next target. In response to your initial post, how will he handle the truth...he'll listen and accept it, and then twist it into another reason to hate his current obsession...destroying Konoha. This cycle will probably continue until the final battle between him and Naruto.
