Concentrating his chakra through the air and into the cloud high above where the rain forms, Mystogan causes rain droplets to bounce up high in the air, using his chakra to have them keep their regular shape to avoid net-like structures. Then, the rain begins to freeze, and eventually becomes too heavy for the charka Mystogan had used with the technique to hold up, causing the newly-formed hail to fall down like rain, pelting everything near-by. This is a good technique for stopping special-property rain, such as sensory or sticky, as when it becomes solid hail it wouldn't have the flowing, liquid properties which would have allowed it to be sticky, or send information back to the user through contact and most likely splashing. It's also useful to combat the Joki Boi technique, of the Second Mizukage, considering that hail is what is used normally to cool it down to a state of normality once the cycle is finished, so hail should be able to cool the clone before the cycle is complete. Finally, and also most obviously, the hail will cause minor damage to anyone caught under it. (I don't believe the damage would be any more than in real life, and as my friends, who are not OP Naruto ninja, played a full game of soccer in hail, it'd reasonable that one could still fight through the hail) The downside to this technique is that it creates a delay in rain while the hail forms, giving away the fact that a technique is about to be used. It also could affect the user if they're not careful. As for defending against this technique, I have a technique (custom) specific for pushing objects (actually specifically hail) up and away from me, while causing hail pushed away by it to become more dangerous. But any normal wind technique should be able to do.
As for questions... As this technique references the "Rain Dagger" technique, but doesn't come anywhere close to "Rain Dagger" 's description, could it be possible that the "Rain Dagger" technique could be used to form a dagger up in the sky which then falls onto the opponent? This would explain its "-mid" range...
Yes, it should be able to. O_O Unless I misunderstood, you asked the exact definition of the jutsu xd
(Touketsu Ame Ittou) - Frozen Rain Blade
Rank: A
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: An advance version of rain blade where the user bounces the rain into the clouds. The higher up they go the more colder they get until they freeze and come falling down(similar to hail) and unlike the original they do not turn back into train until after 3 turns.
*Shows hand signs.* Peform these and ascend your chakra into the rain clouds above us, and start converting the rain cloud, into a hail cloud by cooling down. Let it fall down like hail and hit the opponent and if not temporarily blind him while the hail is in play. However it would also blind yourself somewhat. U__U Also, by using your chakra you can direct the hail towards the opponent.
I just asked because when you taught me I was to collect water in my hand and use it as a dagger....
Forming the handseals, Mystogan focused his chakra up into the sky, where the rain drops were still forming. Then, Mystogan focused more chakra than normal into the forming drops, and caused them to bounce upwards and into the cold sky, causing the drops to freeze. As the drops froze into solid pieces of ice and began to fall back down to earth, Mystogan focused his remaining chakra within the frozen rain to cause them to fall in a specific curve towards a certain rock, causing the hail to continuously pelt the rock until it wore down, with only a few odd hailstones hitting Mystogan himself. This technique is useful for harming my opponent, and had the added advantage of leaving me relatively safe. Because of the extra hail being directed directly at my opponent, it'll hurt them more and make it harder to realistically fight through. Additionally, the technique lasts for three turns. As for a downside, it's a hard one. I suppose one could easily see it coming as rain is being "bounced up" and frozen, and then take time to prepare. I assume that the user can change where the hail is directed to, but assuming they can't then it's a focused attack which is easily avoided, when compared to the other technique which is a wide-spread technique which isn't simply avoided. As for a counter, perhaps a good wind technique to blow the hail being targeted at me directly back to my opponent, creating a dome above myself, or going underground. As for question... Why exactly does this blind us? Just the number of hailstones per meter cubed blocking our vision?
Yes, I misunderstood that jutsu a bit I believe. It should, theoretically, be possible to create it outside of holding it in your hand. And as for your question...that's how I always saw it. The chakra within it wouldn't block our vision, but the bombardment of hail falling would likely make it harder to accurately see the foe.
(Hougeki Arare) - Bombarding Hail
Rank: A
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: Using this jutsu requires great chakra control, performing hand seals and sending chakra into the clouds. After a bit of development,(three turns) a ninja will form the precipitation of the cloud into hail. This hail will fall for a brief time from the clouds and by chakra control be targeted at the opponent.
Note:must have clouds in the sky to use this jutsu.
This time, instead of allowing it to freeze into ice, I want you to simply let it change into snow, which you then let fall down upon the field, changing the terrain.
Looking up into the sky, Mystogan focused his chakra up into the atmosphere, where it infused with the water vapor and water droplets in the sky. Then, Mystogan caused the water vapor and droplets to rise slightly high, freezing to a point where the ice comes apart in flakes and falls down to earth. As Mystogan stands under the rain, he feels the air around him getting cold. Looking about, Mystogan noticed that the snow finally made it down to earth, and was now cooling down the area. As the snow collected, the little light new the outskirts of Amegakure reflected off of the now-white ground and created a blinding reflection effect. The snow falls in thick sheets, making it hard for Mystogan to pick out Akuma. This technique is useful in hiding myself, though I'm not entirely sure how snow is related to the manipulation of rain... At the same time, I would like to use this to combat the technique Joki Boi. Cause it to start snowing, and then the clone can't heat up as fast, making it easier to stop. Now, on the other hand, this technique doesn't serve much practical purpose, as it takes time to prepare, and ultimately it accomplishes the same thing the Hidden Mist technique does, but with a time delay. The only advantage this jutsu has over Kirigakure no Jutsu is the fact that when it's blown away, snow keeps falling. As for defenses, I'm not sure this technique requires the opponent to counter, per se. Perhaps one could use the reflective nature of snow against the user when this technique is used against them, with a flash bomb or Illusion Flash Pillar. With the light being reflected everywhere, it would most certainly distract the user long enough to create a strike. I don't think I have any questions about this, sensei.

(Setsumou) - Snow Blindness
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Shot-Mid
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Description: Used in conjunction with the Hidden Mist skill this makes things even more difficult to see. If used without the Hidden Mist skill, it is far less effective. The user makes snow begin to fall from the sky as thick as possible. This, of course, effects both the user and the opponent's vision.
Note:This jutsu must have rain clouds to perform and the snow takes three turns to fall and lasts for 3 turns.
Restrictions:Can only be used three times per battle.
I suppose we all know that rain clouds doesn't keep on raining forever, hailing, or snowing. So... Slam your palm onto the ground with all your might and release and impulsive wave of chakra which surges through the field. Carefully cause the wave to bounce all rain on teh ground, to ascend back into the sky, and replenish it. You can do this with snow as well if I'm not mistaken. However not with hail, unless it have turned into normal water again. z.z
Clapping his hands together for concentration, Mystogan focused his chakra throughout the field and forced it into all of the water sitting on the ground around him. Then, Mystogan began to manipulate his chakra within the water to send all of the water his chakra had mixed with upwards, causing it to flow straight up into the sky. I can see this technique's usefulness as being able to send rain and snow back up into the sky so that it can fall again, thus extending the duration of 'special rain' and snow techniques. However, if sending these into the sky cannot extend their duration, I can't find a very practical point in this technique, as most rainstorms will continue until a fight is over. Although, if used on water sources it may be able to dry up a small enough water source, thus taking away this resource from one's opponent... The only downside to this technique I can see, aside from being neither offensive nor defensive, is that we're refueling clouds which can essentially continue to flow until we're finished using them for techniques. Also, does this technique really need to be defended against? If I truly want to stop it, certain wind techniques could push the rising water away from its destination. As for questions about this technique, I know that it can "refuel" rain clouds, but could I use it when it's not raining to create rain clouds and start rainy weather for further Ameton techniques?
Well, the rain that falls takes the place as snow, so during those turns, any water coming from the clouds would be snow. After those three turns, however, I would believe that the clouds will still be present but no longer producing snow nor rain, until caused to do so, so yes. I think you can use the clouds to create rain, but only after the snow has fallen completely.
(Suiton: Kouu no Fukkou) - Water Style: Rain's Renaissance
Rank: A

Description: The user slams his hand on the ground and sends a large wave of chakra into the ground. This wave of chakra causes all small, nearby sources of water to fly back into the clouds to replenish them. This has little effect on natural storms but on artificial ones it can be used multiple times to lengthen it almost indefinitely.
This jutsu, however, is perfect for replenishing the water for clouds. You release a wave of chakra that causes nearby water to rise into the sky for artificial storms that you can use for Rain jutsus.

(Kyuutai no Ame) - Orb of Rain
Rank: A
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: After a long line of handseals, the user is able to place a large amount of chakra into their hands and gather rain towards their palms. The user must begin running towards the target of the jutsu, once enough rain has been gathered and condensed to form a fist sized orb of water in the user's hand, the user must place their hand near the target. The orb of water will "explode" pushing enemies back and creating openings for attacks.
Simply by manipulating the rain, I want you to shape several raindrops into that of small knives. Not that dangerous, however it can be directed towards your opponent. They work more or less like senbons.

(Hitoshirenu Ame Naifu) - Hidden Rain Knives
Rank: A
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: The user creates the necessary handseals and rain drops in an area of 20 meters around the user is able to turn into sharp water needles, these are relatively weak but can be directed towards an opponent.
Gather the water within the rain that is falling down, creating a good sized pillar, which you compress into it's shape. Let it fall down upon your opponent, upon impact, it will erupt into a wave of water, not big just slightly. It's basically the water that was used for the jutsu that dissolves and spreads to the sides like a wave.

(Hashira no Ame) - Pillar of Rain
Rank: A
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: The user focuses rain to form as a large pillar before high up in the rain, and also focusing on a point on the ground where it should land, the water pillar has a radius of 4 meters and is a powerful jutsu to give an upper advantage against the enemy, the pillar dissolves as it lands on the ground creating a shock wave of water
The next is merely an advanced version of the reflective clone. Just create several, 20-30 etc. etc. It's merely to distract and confuse the opponent.
Kyuutai no AmeHolding out his hands, cupped towards each other, Mystogan began to focus his chakra throughout the air around him, and into the falling rain droplets. Mystogan then began to use his chakra to gather the rain between his two hands, using his chakra to create a central "gathering point" where the rain condensed and formed a single, large orb. Mystogan then began to run towards his target, and extended his hand as if the rain orb were a Rasengan, allowing his chakra to violently break apart and move away from itself, taking the water with it in a large explosion. This technique can be used as a good defense against incoming projectile-based attacks. It's also useful for pushing back advancing forces. However, because the power of the explosion dissipates as the target becomes further from the central point of the energy, this technique needs to be fairly close to the intended target in order to cause sufficient damage, which can be difficult to achieve sometimes. Now, as for questions, does the explosion go in a complete 360 degree radius, thus damaging myself as well? Also, can I throw the orb and then have it explode at distance, or is the "Mid-range" simply the range the explosion has effect at?
Hitoshirenu Ame NaifuWeaving a few handseals, Mystogan began to channel his chakra into the rain around him, imbuing every droplet with a small amount of chakra, just enough to change its shape. Then Mystogan focused on his shape manipulation to turn the rain droplets into thin, senbon-esque needles of falling water. Mystogan then began to move his hands, causing the needles to move, through chakra manipulations, to match his hand movements. This technique is similar to the Hidden Rain Slash, but instead of a single sharp droplet of rain, this creates many, controllable rain needles... I enjoy using Hidden Rain Slash, and this "upgraded version" may be very much to my liking as well. This technique can be used to quickly turn a large group of rain droplets near my opponent into sharp needles in order to pierce and harm them quickly, and without much time to react. It can also take rain drops which have nearly hit the ground and reshape them, turning their trajectory upwards instead of down for a surprise attack. However, each needle by itself is relatively weak... Perhaps the same strength as a normal Senbon, give or take the elemental affinities of Rain Release? Honestly, the best way to counter this would be to notice rain moving in a direction other than "down", and to quickly use "Earth Spear" to make one's skin a steel-like quality. My only questions would be whether or not there is a limit to how close a rain drop can be to a person before I turn it into a sharp needle?
Hashira no AmeFocusing upon his chakra, Mystogan released a wave of it up into the clouds, where he began to manipulate newly-formed rain. His focused upon a central point which drew in the newly-formed rain droplets, and then began to use shape manipulation to turn the gathered water into a pillar form. Mystogan then looked down at the ground, a nearby rock which would become his target, and released a portion of his chakra in the pillar so that it would fall like a massive, oddly-shaped drop of rain. As the pillar fell, it began to fall at a slight angle, rather than straight down, so as to hit the spot Mystogan specified in his mind. As the pillar crashed down onto the rock, the sheer force and pressure crushed the insignificant rock to dust, and then separated itself into a wave of uncontrolled water as it hit the firm ground, flowing outwards as Mystogan's chakra left the construct. This technique is good for distractionary purposes. By calling down a massive pillar from the sky, one's opponent's attention would be drawn away for a split second, leaving them open to a simple attack. One of the weakness of the technique, that the rain would become lighter as the technique was prepared as rain in the sky is gathered, can be used to one's advantage by making sure that the opponent knows it's coming, and then using it so that the opponent defends, is distracted, and takes a secondary attack head-on. Another advantage of this technique is that once the pillar turns to a small wave of water, said water can be reformed into a suiton technique, creating a second attack where the opponent believes the threat has disappeared.
Hyaku Touei Ame BushinAs the rain fell, Mystogan focused his chakra throughout the falling drops and concentrated. In each of the drops, Mystogan concentrated on changing the density of the water in such a way that it would reflect light as he wished it to, the drops' densities changing constantly as they fell so as to create a perfect mirror, seeming of one, solid construct rather than of an ever-changing one. As the drops fell, Mystogan's chakra caused them to reflect his own image throughout the falling rain, creating a mirrored copy of himself every few feet within the range of falling rain. Mystogan then moved and, as it should, the rain reflected his movement perfectly. I believe I understand this and it's parent technique better now... This technique is good for confusing one's opponent as to the true location of the user. However, any shinobi who tracks based on anything other than sight will be unaffected by this technique.
1st jutsu: No, the explosion is outwards, away from you and the distance is mid due to you being able to run towards them and strike them.
2nd jutsu: Anywhere within 20 meters of you is able to be turned into the needles, yes.
Now, the next set of jutsu:
(Ame toraidento no Jutsu) - Rain Trident Technique
Rank: A
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: A powerful jutsu that uses chakra to gather rain and form it into a long Trident. The Trident is able to change lengths at the user's well and thanks to the chakra has a somewhat solid form. The Trident returns to its' normal state shortly after creation. When the trident cuts into an object, it expands into said object causing more damage and sometimes can even be used to break bones.
As you learned with the rain dagger technique, simply this time turn into a long trident, which you will be swinging at your opponent. Upon impact it explodes outwards, further damaging him. It will vanish shortly after creation, also to add. By infusing the rain droplets around it, you can make them merge, causing the trident to grow more in length.
-------------------------
(Kadou Tsunami no Jutsu) - Vortex Tsunami Technique
Rank: S
Type: Supplementary/Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 40
Damage Points: 80
Description: A highly advanced technique that draws all the rain into one point, this single point spins at high speeds, so high that they begin to pull the rain cloud into them. The final effect of this technique is a swirling storm of Water that rushes towards an opponent in a fierce tidal wave like motion.
The speeds that this vortex spins at are so fast that it is able to cut through armor. This technique, once sent out is almost impossible to stop and will continue going until the chakra supporting it runs out. As a downside, the storm will chase down an opponent and anything near an opponent, including the user of the jutsu .
Now, focus on your desired area on the battlefield. Once you have decided a location, focus on that only while manipulating your wind chakra creating a little tornado. However the tornado will immediatly start to pick up all raindroplets in the area, and continue growing and pick up the rest of the raindroplets on the field, whereafter it will suck down the clouds themselves. Basically it's like a tidal wave, it grows over longertime, just like a tornado as well. Basically create infront of yourself and jump back allowing it grow whilst going at your opponent. It will grow fast and travel fast. It's power is devasting. @_@
-----------------
(Rasen Yari no Kirinonai Kouu) - Endless Rain of the Spiral Spears
Rank: S
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 40
Damage Points: 80
Description: An advanced form of the Rain Spear that uses chakra to condense a large amount of rain water into one place to form spears of water in the clouds. The spears can at any time be called down to strike an opponent with only one hand-seal. Unlike its predecessor, these spears are made of constantly moving water that can actually cut an opponent. They also move in a corkscrew pattern that can be slightly manipulated. By widening or sharpening the turns, you can change where the spear will hit mid-technique. The water will stay in the form of spears for a short amount of time (2 turns). Any spears that are not used by that time it will fall uselessly as rain.
Form these, bite each of your ring fingers and swing them upwards. Using chakra ascend your blood from the fingers into the skies. Nonetheless, using this I want you to form several dragons from the clouds, which you then descend crashing into your opponent. Each turn they can emit a spiralling rain spear, due htem being filled with rain. So they can be used as a water source as well.
--------------------------------
(Kadou Boufuu no Jutsu) - Vortex Storm Technique
Rank: S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 40
Damage Points: 80
Description: A powerful high level jutsu that uses a great deal of chakra to pull down the storm clouds from the sky and place them around the user and enemy. The chakra that pulled down the clouds keeps them moving at high speeds so that neither the user nor enemy can escape. This jutsu in effect doubles the damage done by rain jutsu attacks and makes them more difficult to dodge. When this technique is used, the rain that comes from the clouds falls sideways, down, up, and near every direction, keeping enemies off balance.
Now, manipulate the skies to drop down to ground level, around you and your opponent, whereafter you cause them to spin high speeds around you, creating somewhat of a vortex, leaving no exit out of this dome. Also raindroplets fall somewhat reverse within this, they fall sideways. The clouds can still be used as an alternative source of water.
------------
(Boufuu Kumo Kaigara) - Storm Cloud Shell
Rank: S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 40
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A powerful technique that draws down a small portion of rain clouds and places them over the user like a full body shell. The clouds continue to produce rain, which allow the user to send out rain jutsu like the Rain spear from their body. This shell also defends against lightening jutsu, cutting their damage in half.
Manipulate a couple of skies to fall down and surround you, protecting you from any incoming attack. Lightning would of course, be lethal though.
------------------------
(Ensan no Kouu) - Acid Rain
Rank: S
Type: Supplementary/Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 40(-5 per turn to keep active)
Damage Points: -10 each turn or as long as the user has this jutsu in effect
Description: A powerful ninjutsu that laces the clouds with a large amount of poison elemental chakra to change the structure of the rain. The end result is a storm that does not rain water, but instead rains a powerful acid that can eat through most materials. Unfortunately, skin is not one of those materials. Instead of instantly eating through, it causes skin to instantly blister and slowly dissolve in a most painful way.
For the next, I simply want you the change the pH properties of the water, changing it into that of powerful acid. Basically you make all rain falling into acid, thus the umbrella technique you got taught earlier, to protect yourself when using this technique.
-----------------------------
(Touketsu Ame toraidento no Jutsu) - Frozen Rain Trident Technique
Rank: S
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 40
Damage Points: 80
Description: An advance version of rain trident where the user bounces the rain into the clouds. The higher up they go the more colder they get until they freeze and come falling down(similar to hail).
The next's basically a more advanced version of Rain Trident. Just make the rain bounce up, turning to ice whereafter a trident of ice falls down upon the opponent.
The number of techniques we're doing... You asked for this wallie. @_@
Ame Toraidento no JutsuHolding his hand out to his side, Mystogan focused his chakra into his hand. Mystogan's chakra, affiliated with the rain nature he had been molding for quite some time in this training, began to draw in rain from around him, the rainwater gathering in his palm. As more and more rain gathered, Mystogan's chakra shaped the rain into the form of a trident, with the shaft being nearly as tall as he was and the actual three-pronged weapon head being as tall as his own head for all three points. As the trident was fully formed, Mystogan continued to absorb rain into his weapon, the water condensing in towards itself to nearly "solidify" the weapon. Then, looking towards a nearby rock, Mystogan swung his trident outwards, the condensed water in the shaft expanding so that the length of his weapon became much great and so that the points of the trident head could pierce into the rock. As the trident pierced into the rock, the water comprising the end expanded rapidly in every direction so as to destroy the rock in a powerful explosion. I quite like this technique... First and foremost, it allows me to attack my enemy from a distance, which is always good. Second, when it cuts into something, it creates and outwards explosion, meaning even if I can't cut all the way through an object, I can still damage it severely. However, at the same time, when using this technique, it's easy to be blocked as my opponent can see the trident expanding towards them. Thought it may take them by surprise at first, a second time wouldn't fool them. Personally, this technique seems to be more of a defensive jutsu, used to cut incoming techniques, and would be more effective than it being a straight-forward offensive technique.
Now, how long will it take to return to a puddle? One turn?
Kadou Tsunami no JutsuStaring at a single point in the distance, Mystogan began to channel his Ameton chakra to that single point. The rain, as it fell, became drawn towards that point, creating a floating blob of rainwater. As the water collected together, it began to spin, slowly getting faster and faster until the speed at which the ever-growing sphere spun was so great that the air around it began to move. And as the air around the sphere began to move, it began to create a spinning column of air which reached up into the heavens and the clouds. And as the spinning air reached up into the clouds, the clouds became drawn down to the earth, spinning rapidly with droplets of rain condensing within the spinning clouds, creating a swirling vortex of destruction out of rainwater and clouds. (and as there was a swirling vortex of death, the mouse asked for another cookie. <.<)
Gently extending his arms as the winds around him whipped up and became violent, Mystogan forced his chakra to move away from him, sending the spinning vortex of death in a safe direction, away from himself, as it tore up all things in its path. That... Was powerful... I like this technique because it allows me to create a massive destructive vortex which can tear straight through armor. (I'm coming for you, armor clan. <.<) The destructive power is so great that it will go towards anything near the intended enemy and destroy it. However, this also means that if this technique is used within short-range of oneself, then they are in danger of being destroyed by this technique themselves. I also like how the size and power grows over time as the tornado spins faster, drawing in more clouds and rain until it ultimately is destroyed, or has completed its task. The best way to defend against this jutsu would probably be to hide underground and just sit there like a wuss until the storm fades... Or attack it directly with a powerful technique intended to count it with sheer power alone. I foresee this technique being used in the future... Perhaps in an upcoming war...
You must be registered for see images
Rasen Yari no Kirinonai KouuFocusing his chakra into the sky above him, Mystogan began to make the rain in the clouds above condense themselves into the form of a long spear with a pointed end. Waiting for a little bit, Mystogan made a handseal in order to call down the spear, but instead of allowing it to simply fall down to the ground and strike with sheer force, he caused the spear to spiral as it fell down to the ground, creating a corkscrew-esque manner of falling. As the spear spiraled to the ground, Mystogan caused the spear to loop up into the air, changing its direction in order to force the falling spear to corkscrew around the air and to be more of a show, the water in the spear constantly moving to give the edge a "sharp" quality, before causing the spear to crash into the ground, creating a hole which it filled itself to create a small puddle. This technique is good, as most expansions upon previous jutsu are. This technique takes an old jutsu which could only strike a single spot and required ones opponent to be standing in the "X" which marks their doom, and allows the user to control the movement of the spear so as to be able to strike still if their opponent moves. Aside from that, it had a higher degree of cutting ability, rather than simply plowing through an opponent, something which is needed when you consider that this technique loses some of the speed it would have gained from just falling; it needs to be able to pierce easily in order to cut someone when spiraling into them from, say, the side. A downside to this technique would be that the rain lightens as the droplets are collected in the air into a spear, and the one handseal which does nothing at first comes across as suspicious. This makes the opponent be on their guard for incoming rain jutsu, and as such, they can see the spear coming and defend accordingly.
As for the turns... Does that only apply to the spear being in the clouds, or does that count to manipulating the spear as well? And, just to clarify, two turns means the turn I create the spear and the next one, correct? Finally, is there a limit to how many spears I can create with this technique?
Technique Whose Description Doesn't Match the Jutsu it Refers To (Haisou no Kouryuu no Jutsu)After weaving quite a number of handseals, Mystogan raised his ring fingers to his mouth and bit down on them, as if he were going to perform a summoning, and continued to apply pressure until he broke his flesh. Then, he sent chakra though his blood and caused his blood, after lifting his hands to the sky, to float upwards into the clouds. As his blood reached the clouds, Mystogan's pent-up chakra was released rapidly through the clouds, creating a rumble of thunder. Then, pulling down one of his hands, Mystogan used his shape manipulation to cause part of the cloud to move, taking an unrecognizable shape before it disappeared back into the clouds. Then, in a very overly-dramatic manner, two long, almost scaly arms reached down through the clouds, grabbing the edges of the bottom of the cloud as though it were a solid resting place; the entrance to the den of a dragon. The snout then poked out next, as the arms moved as if it were pulling itself out of the clouds, its large serpentine body floating down towards the ground gracefully. The eastern-style dragon opened its mouth and released a rumble of thunder rather than a roar as it began to fly about. Looking back up at the sky with an irrirated expression, Mystogan quickly drew down his other hand, causing a second dragon to burst through the clouds, streamlining quickly to the ground where it crashed, creating a massive impact which shook the ground. The first dragon released several small rumbles of thunder, as though it were laughing, and then opened its mouth to shoot a Spiraling Rain Spear at the area covered in fog, where the second dragon had landed, so that Mystogan could test his dragons' abilities. He then turned to his sensei. This is a very nice technique which I like a lot... These dragons are strong, made of what are almost condensed, "solid" clouds as they can crash into things, leading me to believe they can chew and tear things apart as well. They can also provide an alternate source of rain as they fly around, allowing me to localize my Ameton and remove my opponent's reaction time; or at least lessen it. However, these dragons are also large, and aren't easy to miss if you aiming at them, making it fairly easy to destroy if they become annoying. But at the same time, they can be used as distraction methods.
Now, I want to ask if there is a limit to how many dragons I can create with this? Also, is there a limit to the rank of Ame/Suiton I can use through these dragons as a source? Finally, what is the difference between "Flight of the Rain Dragons" and "Water Style: Rain Dragon Skill"?
Kadou Boufuu no JutsuFocusing his chakra into the clouds themselves, Mystogan began to call down the clouds into the area around him. As the clouds surrounded him in a thick fog, Mystogan caused the clouds to form into a perfect dome, and for the surface of the dome to spin rapidly, creating a somewhat solid barrier which would keep in all fighting parties. As he stood at the epicenter of the dome of clouds, Mystogan stood in awe as the rain pelted him from all sides, falling sideways, up, and down, bathing him in an omnidirectional burst of rain. This technique is good for creating a final showdown area with my opponent. By darkening the area so that his vision is hampered, I can then manipulating the omnidirectional rain in order to strike, unseen, from any direction I wish. I would use this technique as a final measure to kill my opponent. Now, a drawback to this jutsu is that, as myself and my opponent are trapped, so too are our techniques, making wide-spread techniques dangerous for everyone within the cloud. The ever-present rain and water particles from the clouds also makes lightning very dangerous to use in any form for anyone. However, closing in wide-spread techniques can also be used to my advantage, if used correctly.
Now, as for questions, how long does the dome remain active? While it's active (and this really goes for all multi-turn techniques), can I use elements other than Ameton, or am I restricted?
Boufuu Kumo KaigaraThe technique where I lost all my work last time... <.< Also, "couple of skies"? Focusing his chakra into the air, Mystogan impregnated all of the suspended water particles which we know as "cloud" in the air with his chakra, and caused them all to descend upon himself. As the clouds surrounded Mystogan's body, he felt the rain they produced pound on his skin, the distance between himself and the cloud making it so that the moment the drop formed, it made contact with him, essentially leaving him soaked in a second. Then, Mystogan extended his arm in order to test his ability to create rain. By focusing his chakra into his palm, Mystogan was able to make it rain sideways out of his hand, the droplets moving away from him and towards a rock in the distance. Mystogan then noticed a plant and bent down to examine it. Even though he was using the rain as a weapon, the plant reminded him that rain also helped life grow and be sustained. Without Keigoku in his body, Mystogan was at peace with himself, the small plant easing his soul.

This technique is a powerful defense, allowing me to tank strong attacks in my puffy cloud form. I also like how I can create rain techniques which originate from my body, allowing me to strike my opponent when they don't expect it, especially with the whole "rain traveling sideways" thing... However, a drawback is that the clouds being so puffy, and condensed to a point where they can actually defend from attacks, I would believe that it would hinder my movements, as I'm not very bulky and not agile at all.
Now, as for my questions, you say that lightning is lethal, while the jutsu states that I'd take half-damage... Why are these different, and which is correct? Also, I can make it rain sideways away from my body, correct?
Ensan no KouuConcentrating his chakra though the air and into the clouds above, Mystogan began to change the pH of the water particles in the air which would later condense into rain, causing the pH to drop well below 7, and making the liquid take on acidic properties. Then, as the water particles condense into rain and fall, Mystogan held his hand up and caused the rain around him to stop falling, hitting an invisible force-field of his chakra which repeled the acidic rain so as to protect himself from his own jutsu. As the acidic rain fell around him, Mystogan watched as the earth around him began to dissolve like snow, becoming nothing before the awesome power of the technique he had just performed, and the sight made him smirk. I like this technique... It allows me to eat away at my opponent's defenses and render them useless, while torturing them and inflicting mass amounts of pain slowly so as to make my opponent suffer... Its strength also lies in the ability to change the battlefield, allowing me to lower the area between my opponent and I if we both defend it, and later use that to my advantage somehow... Now, as I already alluded to, this technique's drawback is that it affects all rain in the area, making it so that I must defend against it as well or be caught in the acid and be burned alive... Such a terrible way to go.
Now, if I were to use this with the Storm Cloud Shell, making it rain acid sideways at my opponent, would I be burned by the acid, or would it form away from my body enough that I'd be safe?
Touketsu Ame Toraidento no JutsuFocusing his chakra into the rain in the clouds, Mystogan caused some of the rain droplets to bounce up high into the sky, slowly collecting into a single mass as they went up. As the rain went higher and higher, Mystogan caused the mass to take the form of a trident, slightly shorter than the one he had used earlier, with the prongs pointed towards the ground, still causing the water to bounce directly upwards. Then, as the trident made it high enough, the extreme temperatures in the upper atmosphere froze the water solid into a trident of ice which then began to fall under the influence of gravity. As the trident came down, the ice hit the ground and shattered itself, leaving a crack in the earth where it landed. I see... This technique is quite powerful, and can be used to damage stationary targets severely... However, it has a great many drawbacks. For one, as it freezes, I can no longer control it, meaning it will fall straight down. Secondly, as it falls straight, I must be sure my opponent, or other target, will be where the trident lands, or else the technique is worthless. Third, it loses the ability to expand outwards as it hits as it's no longer a liquid, taking away one of the defining properties of the original technique. Fourth, the opponent will be able to sense the danger as the rain becomes lighter, and will likely not stay in one spot. However, I can see a good combination in which I force the direction of the trident to change by influencing its movement with fuuton, blowing it towards my opponent. Other than this, the technique is so severely limited, I don't see myself using it, as with many of the frozen techniques.
Now, I have two questions about Ameton in general. May I use Rain techniques on any rain, even if it has the chakra of my opponent within the rain? And second, can I now submit custom techniques which involve the use of clouds under "Ameton"?

1) Yes you can but only if you use high rank rain jutsus so your chakra over powers theirs
2) Yes but probably are going to use actually rain it in some way.

Rank: S
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 40(-10 each turn to keep this jutsu in play)
Damage Points: 80
Description: After performing a long row of hand seals, the user makes a small cut on each of his or her ring fingers and raises his or her hands to the sky. Some of the user's blood raises up into the sky, apparently as a sacrifice. The clouds then begin to warp and form into several dragons. Once fully formed, each of the dragons is capable of emitting one spiral rain spear per turn. The dragons also act as alternate sources of rain.

(Kuro Ame no Jutsu) - Dark Rain Technique
Rank: S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 40(-5 each turn after 3 turns have passed)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user forms the necessary handseals and the all the rain drops in the area becomes pitch black, they can be felt pouring down but would not be seen, and they would still be transparent. This is a very strong technique because as soon as this is done every technique the user create using this will be pitch black and the enemy will not see them coming
Do the hand signs and use your chakra to have all the rain drops become pitch black making them seem invisible to my clone but they will still be able to feel the rain. Then use any previous rain jutsu to attack my clone since she wont be able to see it coming.

Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 40

Description: powerful jutsu that's into motion the creation of a dragon made of clouds. the dragon itself is very powerful and adds a level of versatility previously unknown to rain-based techniques. The dragon swoops down from the sky and onto the battlefield. Not only is it capable of shooting a spiral rain spear from any point on its body once per post, but it is capable of directing a small rainstorm from its body. This allows rain techniques to be used from the dragon, and become more localized.
Use your chakra and create a dragon from the clouds and have it swoop down from the sky to shoot a spiral rain spear from any part of its body to hit my clone while at the same time small rain storms come from its body.
Haisou no Kouryuu no JutsuAfter weaving quite a number of handseals, Mystogan raised his ring fingers to his mouth and bit down on them, as if he were going to perform a summoning, and continued to apply pressure until he broke his flesh. Kuro Ame no JutsuWeaving the short series of handseals, Mystogan (may as well finish training in the same character) looked to the sky and focused his chakra throughout the rain surrounding him. Using his chakra, Mystogan altered the way the falling water reflected light, in a similar manner to how the Hiding in Camouflage technique works, in order to cause all the rain to absorb all light into themselves, instead of allowing light to pass through or be reflected off. In this manner, all of the rain became pitch black, darkening the area around himself, and making it hard to see the rain through the darkness cast by the storm clouds overhead. Feeling confident with his rain being, essentially, invisible, Mystogan focused his chakra into a single raindrop as it formed high in the clouds, and caused it to become sharp like a dagger. As the rain drop fell, it fell directly down onto the clone, slicing straight through his skull and penetrating his brain.

Description: The user manipulates their chakra to condense a single raindrop into a more solid form. The raindrop becomes as sharp as a blade. The disadvantage to this jutsu is that the raindrop falls in a straight line. [JUTSU] I love that jutsu... Anyhow, this technique is very useful because it gives me an edge in battle, taking away my opponent's ability to see the rain and, more importantly, how I shape the rain for a technique. Being that natural rain is hard to come across, and that almost all of it is created by chakra, sensors will also be unable to tell the difference between techniques that affect a single drop, such as the one I just used. Dojutsu users, as well, would need to examine every single rain drop in order to see the one that is different, like a "Where's Waldo" book, making analysis through this method just as ineffective as using the naked eye. While the Dark Rain jutsu itself does relatively little, it allows for some amazing combinations, including, for example, creating a rain dragon (not a cloud dragon; he'd have to be rain) to fly around within the dark rain, being nearly invisible so as to attack my opponent while they're off-guard.
Suiton: Kouryuu no JutsuFocusing his chakra into the sky, Mystogan began to manipulate the underdeveloped rain drops which form clouds, and manipulated them to keep their basic shape and form (cloud), while using these particles (in the form of cloud) to form the shape of a dragon (a Chinese, serpentine dragon with arms and legs) which floated down from the sky to the ground. Looking at his single cloud dragon, Mystogan smiled; he was most definitely more powerful on his own than the multitude of dragons he had used earlier. Looking at the dragon, Mystogan nodded, using his chakra to manipulate the dragon's tail to whip up and over its shoulder. And as the tip of its tail whipped into place, a spiral rain spear flew from the tip of the dragon's tail towards the clone, spiraling around and around as it moved to pierce the clone before him. Then, from the dragon's front claws, a small rain storm began to rage, shooting rain off sideways towards the now-impaled clone instead of straight downwards. This is a very good jutsu for localizing area-of-effect techniques, such as Acid Rain, in order to keep from harming oneself. It's very good for distractions, but as he's made from cloud I imagine that it's sheer destructive force should it ram into something would be relatively small; it's best to use Ameton techniques off of him. I like it, and I personally see myself using it as a way to use Acid Rain to not harm myself more than anything. My only question would be why is this Suiton?
Now, a few questions that I didn't have answered that I sort of would like...
Vortex Storm Technique: how long does the dome remain active? While it's active (and this really goes for all multi-turn techniques), can I use elements other than Ameton, or am I restricted?
Storm Cloud Shell: LoK said that lightning is lethal, while the jutsu states that I'd take half-damage... Why are these different, and which is correct? I mean, would the water molecules in the clouds conduct the lightning, or would the large space act as in insulator? Also, I can make it rain sideways away from my body, correct? And, assuming that I can does the rain form on my body, or far enough away that I could use, say, Acid Rain without harming myself?
Vortex Storm Technique: how long does the dome remain active? While it's active (and this really goes for all multi-turn techniques), can I use elements other than Ameton, or am I restricted? It remains active as long as you want and you can use other elements
Storm Cloud Shell: LoK said that lightning is lethal, while the jutsu states that I'd take half-damage... Why are these different, and which is correct? I mean, would the water molecules in the clouds conduct the lightning, or would the large space act as in insulator? The clouds are used as an insulator and you are correct about the water molecules.
Also, I can make it rain sideways away from my body, correct? Yes you can
And, assuming that I can does the rain form on my body, or far enough away that I could use, say, Acid Rain without harming myself? And yes you could that would actually be a smart way to not get harmed from acid rain.
