When did Part 2 start going downhill in your opinion?

I am absolutely fine with Part 2 other than the tiny little problems. The part where it started going wrong was this very arc actually. This Madara arc is the worst arc imo.

It never did for me. Part 2 kept getting better and better.

Part 1 was lame for me.

TBH it stayed the same all the way through. I never really rated Naruto as my top anime/manga because it has so much talking/irrelevant stuff.

When Sasuke got MS and his fighting style became... un-Sasuke-like. Also, his conclusion about Itachi after he heard the "truth" from Obito. Destroying the one thing your "beloved" Itachi loved? Yeah... honour... It shot straight back up when Naruto learned SM and fought Pein.

Sasuke isn't some lapdog that has to listen to Itachi's wishes. He is a separate person, so he can do what he wants. He's destroying the one place that gave his brother hell.

It never has for me, but you know, not everyone can be pleased. Some will hate something others love.

After Pain Arc in general. However, it did have some great chapters here and there.

The parts I didn't like at the time the manga came out were:

1. Tobi's reveal and "Because you let Rin die". Sure now I know that she was the catalyst for his hate towards the shinobi system but at that time, that hadn't been revealed yet. So when I first saw that I was like, "Are you serious Kishimoto?"

2. When Madara became the Third Juubi Jin. He utterly dissapointed me from that point on. Even Jin Obito seemed more intimidating.

3. Nagato(Kabuto)'s "fight". I expected it to be longer than that... Although sure it was a 3 vs 1 but still...

4. Hanzo's fight. For someone with so much hype, I had high expectations from him.

5. Kurama being far stronger than the rest. Pretty much owning five at once. Sure he's supposed to be stronger but like seriously? Can he like solo the other 8 all at once?

Although now it seems to be taking a twist with Kaguya. Hopefully she doesn't dissapoint...

The war arc (both the fillers and canon) kakashis rampage, all the fighting to he expected but yet all I saw were memories and a whole load of nothing.

I never really felt like it went downhill to the point where I'd clearly see the difference of what it had been and what it became.
Naruto, of course had its ups and downs throughout the 15 years of being published, and that's perfectly normal.
No story can be at its peak all the time.. no matter how good it is.
For me, the highest peak was the "Pain Invasion" arc... and right now, we're slowly heading to that same peak again.
