I completely agree how music serves to comfort us in our feelings or direct them. It lends itself to many a purpose.
I don't think I could ever list a list of top songs. I'm constantly evolving in current favorites. I have different playlists. One for classical chorus, spanish classics, french, Xtian Rock, classical, etc. When I'm getting ready I usually listen to rock on the radio cuz I don't buy much music.
At times only hard core will fit the bill; other times some Blues or Jazz.
