Just realized the other day that episodes 166-168 were hands down my favorite ones. Not just because the animation but the voice acting, the intensity of what was happening, those episodes just had it all. Just watching the whole scene of Hinata getting tossed around by Pain was awesome and heartbreaking and I remember saying to myself how, though it's a cartoon, it was one a whole different level.

I really like episodes 87-88 where Naruto defeats Kakuzu. I love the part when it flashbacks to Naruto and Kakashi training and they collide the newly created rasen-shuriken and Kakashi's rasengan. Then Kakashi turns around and see the profile of the 4th on Naruto. Agh gives me chills just thinkin about it! So epic.

planetary devastation is my favourite chapter, along with tales of a gutsy ninja and kakashi gaiden. that scene from when nagato makes chibaku tensei to when minato stops naruto from breaking his seal is just perfect.

but what makes naruto so brilliant imo is that it's the only anime i've seen where you don't get bored seeing any random episode, others have their amazing moments true, but they're nowhere near as good in between. i even like most of the fillers, except for the last filler arc which admittedly cringeworthy

That reminds me of another seen when Naruto was learning about The different chakra elements from Kakashi. Kakashi mentions the different strengths and weakness of each element Naruto says that he and Sauske are a good match. To which Kakashi says, yes your wind is strong against his lighting. Then Naruto explains that he meant he could have made Sauske stronger b/c of his other element, fire. It just went to show that Naruto was still thinking about saving Sauske and really wants things to be like before. Scenes like that just give the series more depth and I appreciate more b/c of it.

I'd say 159. the one kakashi died. not because he died, I never wanted him to die but because he fought against the deva path brilliantly and kakashi's death scene, the one with the mangekyou along with the music that played in the background was too impressive.
