What's the purpose of the Naruto vs Sasuke fight that await us?

The whole theme and point of the manga is the other way around, that love and compassion is the answer not vicious onslaught.

Anyone who believes that love and compassion solves everything are fools. I never said vicious onslaught solves everything either. What I'm saying Is, if Naruto and Sasuke stalemated, it would make them realize you need a balance of force and love. That would end the conflict like Narutohokage7 is saying, while offering good plot and character development for both Naruto and Sasuke.
