[Discussion] Whats the problem ? How can we all fix it

We '13ers hardly login anymore. We have had pretty good year though, dem long ass theories Lol. Now that the series is coming to an end this behavior is to be expected from this community. People are losing interest in the series, so it goes without saying that the majority of the people who joined are not even a true fan of this series anymore, honestly they all look like a hungry cheetha which has waited long enough to catch and eat a prey lol. I mean those who have joined in 2014 are mostly those who kept visiting the site and wished to become part of this community when the reg was closed, they must have seen how crazy this community could be at times(Because of trolls) and wished to join for that sole purpose(Troll)? I think so because most of the '14ers act like hot headed and piss each other and old members off often.

Conclusion: I dont expect this community to get any better than this, simply because the series is coming to an end and there is nothing much left to discuss or make theories about.

Not what I meant, just saying the staff should lighten up considering the fact that Naruto is coming to an end and as the site is going to slowly regress into a ghost town some members want to indulge themselves in some fun while it lasts. I'm not speaking of the people who are annoying pests who troll nonstop, I'm speaking of the members that are banned for excessive amounts of time for petty things. But this is all my opinion as yours are your own. You are my favorite staff member just so ya know mate, so don't take things harsh.

You can always find those noobs who don't even read the theory and blatantly reject it without providing any constructive arguments.
This is very discouraging.
Also threads like "my fav > yours, sasuke > naruto, ftg> sasuke shunshin," etc tend to get more attention then the threads with good theories and i often miss some very good theories made by not so popular members because of this.

I remember reading those. You are right. Thats why VS are basically ban bait. Members dont know how to use logical, and constructiive crtisism, or even know how to say no and here is a link to 4 or 5 manga pages why, with a short description or explination of the page, they just ont want to argue, and its gotten to the point where good theroies dont get posted. Not becuase people dont have them, but because people dont want to waste time typing for 20-100 minutesm coming up with manga scan after manga scan, proof of each topic and etc, then they hit the post button and only people that come through are "Itachi Solos, Sasuke Solos, Lord Hiruzan Solos, Sasuke Blitz, Well manga says" with no clear picture how that negates your ideas.

Yeah I get what you mean, but we're human as well so we make mistakes and overreact sometimes too. That's why members are welcome to query infractions or bans with other staff. We're not perfect at all, and some infractions that are given sometimes really aren't necessary. But what always makes the situation worse for members, is that they argue and make threads about it instead of making a formal approach, a simple, calm PM would do. But most of them go the other way.

And what are you supposed to do when you make a formal approach to a mod but then you are told by the mod that they prefer to delete your thread rather than clean it because some other people are coming to your thread and breaking the rules in it even though the intention of the thread was not to cause a flame war?

Why don't the people who creates ruckus in the thread get punished? but instead the thread itself gets deleted which further motivates the rule breakers to attack another thread yet again and break the rules in that thread also so that , that thread also gets deleted.

Why do the thread creator gets punished by getting his thread deleted when all the ruckus is caused by other trolls ?

Votes aren't necessary to decide who gets banned or not, such discussions take place between staff members, not members. Majority of NB's members aren't aware of the rules themselves and are only interested in saving their friends. In short, most of our members lack proper judgement and maturity.

There's the Questions and Suggestions section for that, good suggestions are always forwarded to G-mods or admins, maybe it takes a while, but it's done. For example, the font on the front page was changed a week or two ago, a member suggested that it should be changed back to the original one, other members agreed with his suggestion and immediately as Versuvio saw it he went with their suggestion and changed it back.

Sometimes it's just better to trash the thread because there's so much in it to be done, banning members from threads, deleting many posts and reading through the entire thread with several pages is quite a task. If it's a small thread, then I will of ofcourse just get rid of the trouble within it and let the thread stay on the forum.

I also used to be active in making Manga Scan parodies/edits of Hiruzen, but they just kept on getting deleted. That and people take this place to seriously.
