[Question] What's so popular about Fairy Tail?

It's party =D I love the characters and most of the time thye're as funny as the one piece ones.
The ideas for the manga is awesome, sadly it's still predictable as any other =D
(It shows a lot of boobs maybe that's the reason)

People like it mostly cause theres not as much talking in the fights in fairy tale and every charater in fairy tale is useful in some way even the fodders which not usual for a shonen jump series.

Ok maybe I should so I don't get hate. Anything that copies the epicness of One Piece would be a pretty decent story. xd

Ok in all seriousness it is decent. I'm up to episode 76 right now and you can see a story starting to form. The fights are done well and the magic concept is cool. I just wish we can see more of a variety of dragon slayer attacks.

I like the storyline ideas, but the fighting doesnt have much strategy. I think it's because every character seems to be a useful and good character in their own way. I cant choose a favourite character between lucy natsu and erza .---.
Hm yes sometimes it's very the same as a fight you already watched, especially with lucy but it's her magic's fault ^-^ , They're all just powering out with mostly the same techniques like erza's great ability to strip to become most dangerous (I still do not get why an armor based mage is strongest when nearly naked but she's too badass to be criticised =) )

Watch an episode or read a few manga pages, see for yourself.
Personally its a fun manga which has bit of everything, if your into the whole 'FRIENDSHIP' thing then this is for you. Some people hate it which I do not understand but that's just me, I'm just glad there are a few on here who love it like me.

I've never had a chance to read the manga, but I watch the anime and it definitely wasn't as good as it was before. Edolas arc is the last one that I really liked, and maybe Tenrou Island arc, but the following arcs, especially Key of the Starry Sky, were terrible, at least for me. One Piece is and always will be the best anime, only because of his unique animation, amazing characters and humor (especially humor).
