whats so good about WRPG'S?

Freedom, customization, and ready to go action. Personally I like JRPG's, just because their plot is better but it usually makes for a one time playthrough.
Ironically, I think the best example of a WRPG is Dark Souls, however is actually made by an Asian company. For those that can't feel where I'm coming with that, look to WoW as the pinnacle of WRPG's imo and you'll find a ton of the traits that people love in them.

Nah I've played great ones. Skyrim, Oblivion, Fable, The Witcher, Dark Souls, Boderlands, Fallout, etc.
If anything I'd say JRPG's aren't what they use to be, I mean Persona is great, FF is average now(though XV looks promising). I can't think of any others that have been released somewhat recently that were note worthy.
Which didn't use to be the case up till last gen.
