Also 5 mins of fighting in DBZ world = 50 episodes.

Meaning, the best anime show youve ever watched that has the best fighting moment, DBZ had already done it.
Most of anime fights, the badass ones, are most likely from DBZ.

Its like the grandfather of anime fights.

But once again. 5 mins takes like 50 episode (almost not exaggerating) so fighting kinda gets repetitive. Kinda like playing mortal kombat.

Either most anime fights are influenced by DBZ or by Gundam IMO

It's the anime/manga that more or less started shounen, so action, martial arts, space travel, cosmic powers, comedy, friendship, light drama, character evolution, etc.

Like many mentioned before, it's a past time for most of us. It was a door to anime for most of us and in all honestly it sucks so bad. You probly won't like it now that your older but it has some of the best fight scenes ever and was probly copied the most over time.

It is best, because it is inspiration to all other shonen mangas that came after DB. I read Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Fairy Tail, Shaman King and there are a lot of motifs from Dragon Ball, i never read Toriko and Yu Yu Hakusho, but i heard that they have some as well.
Naruto and Luffy are clearly picture of Goku and that's fact. It is question how would shonen mangas look today (Naruto and others) if there wasn't Dragon Ball.
Akira Toriyama is also "model" to other mangas and that was said by many of them (Kubo, Kishimoto, Oda). Bleach was even rejected by shonen jump at the first, but Toriyama was the one who said that WSJ need to give other chance to Kubo and Bleach, and that's how Bleach become. That's why Dragon Ball and Akira Toriyama are greates.
