well he actually could have become a jonin depending on that... if he used it correctly.yeah i am serious, i think byakugan is stronger
1. it's the sharingan's most valuable strength though^^
2. the thread and poll is about the simple sharingan and not MS, so there is no amaterasu involved.
3. the only time we actually saw a byakugan user fighting was during the chuunin exam, when Nenji was still a kid. he couldn't possibly have become a juunin, depending only on close range attacks, right?
and anyway, that's my opinion^^
kakashi once said to his friends about itachi: "don't see in his eyes, he's able to create genjutsus with that." (or something like that). when sai first enters oros hideout, sasuke looks in his eyes and creates a genjutsu with the sharingan and later captures deideira with it (who escapes because he trained to counter genjutsu). in the sasuke vs. itachi-fight, the first few mangas they are completely fighting through genjutsus, without any seals.
but it can evade the attacks of a byakugan-user, simply because byakugan-users fight more with chakra-concentration, wich makes it easy for the chakra-seeing sharingan to evade. so if the two are on the same physical lvl, sharingan wins.
every prison-technique made of chakra maybe, but if it's a deadly jutsu, byakugan won't be able to evade, sharingan would. So in rare situations, when u have an enemy who's stronger than u but doesn't want to kill u, byakugan is more usefull. in all other situations, sharingan is better.
It?s such a complex topic, as such one cannot say hands down which is stronger or weak. Both these dohjutsu?s has there pro?s and cons. My personal preference is Byakugan, it gives you 3D perception of your surrounding, ability to detect chakra and its flow. It also gives the user excellent chakra control as a result of their training with the gentle fist fighting style, which in turn allows control their own chakra flow properly. As discussed in the manga, the ideal method of releasing a genjutsu is to stop the chakra flow to the head or disrupt it. With their excellent control in chakra Hyuuga should theoretically be able to break sharingans? genjutsu.it does have genjutsu... just not many names for it... for example when sai was in the room when we first saw sasuke in shippuden... and also when itachi and naruto were fighting for like 2 seconds when they were going to akatsuki hideout

nejis rotation would be destroyed by amaterasu... plus neji never saw through sharingan genjutsu which is the most powerful there is... u think he'll get through tsukuyomi easily? he would not own sasuke... as for the speed thing... dude think about it... even if the byakugan gives 360 vision the sharingan gives you the reflexes to dodge it... and if naruto was able to defeat neji in the chunin exams and then sasuke beat naruto at the VOE then what does that mean? sasuk>neji
knock it off with genjutsu people you don't know many things about byakugan..
dude i've seen sharingan speed in itachi and i know it is awsome,but neji can freaking stop the time,he literally stops the time...you know what that is right?stops the time so when somepoby stops the time you can't possibly be faster...i just wont you to look for episode named your oponent is me,that's when neji fights agains spiderweb guy when sasuke went to orochimaru
he's not immune to genjutsu... but anyway the byakugan is still way to dependant on close range melee attacks... even the air palm thing still requires u to be pretty close... while the sharingan supports you in both close and long range making the user ready for either way... and no i didn't miss a lot of episodes... neji didn't use the byakugan to escape from genjutsu many times... sometimes but not many times
but dude do u realize how much chakra that takes up and he can't do it forever... it will have to go away sooner or later... plus when he fought kidomaru he almost died if it wasn't for a medic... he needed to sacrifice his own body to win...
if you didn't miss some episodes you would see how hinata escaped bee's wax prison while she was in water...and you would see the 2 episodes when neji killes the guy who beat sasgay's ass...i said it great sharingan masters like itachi and madara would win against neji there is a big gap in ages madara is freakin 2000 years old lol..and we see that hinata and neji are evolving...i am alomst certain neji or hinata will find something against susano...their chakra control is impeccable,see the episode when hinata killes millions of the bees with her ultimate defence without any blind spot and they literally stop the time with their speed they have no match
no matter the cause he survived and the guy died,he won even thought the guy was much more experienced then neji and i am puting the age aside.
when sasuke was fighting the sound four he had to fight all four of them... wtf is that? he had to go four against one while neji went one against one and u say that neji is much stronger? plus u never answered my close and long range thing... which is very important
he didn't really win... it could be considered a tie since they both pretty much died... neji was just lucky enough to have a healer find him...
whatever will be the attack from long range neji will see it and dodge it with his ultimate defenses i didn't mention this,because i thought it was obvious..
