What would you have done in Danzo's place?

I would of had the clan exterminated. Drawn in Itachi afterwards, using an infant Sasuke as bait and had Itachi assassinated along with his brother. Not before having Hiruzen also be present at such a meeting, and having him die as well. The Hokage dies, and Danzo returns saying he died to personally help defeat Itachi. Danzo is free to take the throne.

Don't risk the safety of the future by allowing Sasuke to possibly learn the truth.

Make the village seem strong by quickly capturing and killing such a powerful "traitor".

Hiruzen is defeated, no one is left to oppose Danzo's rule of Konoha.

I then use Root as a secret police organization and they get rid of all trouble makers in the village.

That is what I would of done.

Danzo was too hasty. He had Itachi kill everyone, why not just the leaders? Then install Itachi as puppet leader of the Uchiha, or let Shisui just brainwash everyone. But then again Danzo wasted an Izanagi when he died at the hands of a Kunai. Not the smartest of the bunch..

Stopping Fugaku alone won't quell the rebellion. He had to have enough followers since they could get the attention of Danzo and Hiruzen in the first place. And 10 year cooldown for KA, so...

I am pretty sure KA can be used on multiple enemies at one time, but EVEN if it didn't work, the fact that danzo stole it in the first place makes him lose all credibility about his intentions being "pure". Furthermore, if Fugaku had a change in heart, the CHANCES of the rebellion not going forward are increased ten fold.

To all the people saying killing danzo or Fugaku ONLY MAKE THE PROBLEM WORST. because the uchai weren't stupid they know they was being watched and planning attack and think about if u were a uchia and your leader when to the store and randomly die so u already they don't plan on talking so war is a must. And if they kill danzo the uchia look like crazy power hungry people which they are so what the hokage to do . And remember all fact point to a uchia attacking and the whole clan left the day of the attack

Assassinate Fukaku. That's one option. The others is to kill all the trained ninjas and leave the children and elderly alone. However, it becomes necessary to educate them why what their parents did was not, by any means, right in order to not have them maintain a grudge.

Well, I guess when a mass murder is convicted and executed, his kid needs to be as well, because, you know, the kid might hold a grudge. This idea of your becomes absurd if placed in a real-life scenario.


One way to nullify "avengers" is to make sure a generation does not use ninjutsu. Perhaps a sealing jutsu or something. Have them skip a generation, then let the newer and more cool-headed ones become ninjas again.

Do you have any evidence to back up the bold? I've never heard that nor seen anything to give rise to that notion, but I may have overlooked something.

The rest of your post doesn't make sense. I've yet to see anybody claim Danzo being pure; who are you addressing with it and why did you quote me? I merely said Fugaku clearly had a lot of followers, so his death/change of heart alone wouldn't solve the entire issue. His followers would have to be changed, educated on the transgressions of their clain and Konoha's, or killed as well for that option to be 100% viable.
