I wonder what would've happened had Danzo listened to Hiruzen and said "Okay, we'll try peace." and ended up with most of Konoha in ruins. Then he'd still be "evil".

we all like to blame danzo but this was clearly tobirama's fault for putting the uchiha in a corner and making them stay outside of the village and making them the police which indirectly made the people hate them, not only that but danzo didnt force itachi to commit that act of justice, itachi knew it was the right decision and that it was the only way to stop the pending coup...

Yeah, you are Danzo in this situation. But I don't think Danzo could dictate the city in that fashion like you proposed, it sounds out of the power range for an elder. But Hiruzen may have agreed, it's possible.

The Uchiha plight stems from many factors, including the acts of past individuals. But Danzo can't exactly go back in a time machine and make his sensei not cage the Uchiha.

There is some merit tot his option, I suppose. The Uchiha had 0 MS users at that time besides Itachi, so Hiruzen, Danzo, Jiraiya, Kakashi, Gai, etc could have put the Uchiha down hard if they wanted too.

I don't think the majority of those people would have agreed, though. Uchiha vs ANBU is more likely and ANBU kinda blows based on feats and showing. At any rate, that's a different line of thought than what I had. Credit to you.

That's an awful plan actually. Konoha can't be seen putting down their own. Half of the reason Itachi was sent in by himself was so it could be pinned on a "rogue missing nin" and is not traced back to the government. Having 200 anbu sack one of the most powerful clans that makes up your village along with your entire police force is retarded.

After i had transplanted Shisuis eye and everyone thought that Itachi killed him, i would use Kotoamatsukami on Itachi and order him to assassinate the clan.After that meet me at root underground headquarters,give me Shisuis other eye and also his own eyes and then commit suicide.I would dispose his remains and everyone would think that he had gone rogue.Exactly the same think that happened with the difference that Danzo would have 4 mangekyos,Sasuke would have been killed along with the rest of the clan so Danzo would have lived to be the Kage and he also wouldn't need to fear about Itachi leaking village info to enemies.200% pure win

I'm not saying it's a good plan, just saying it's an option that could have been taken. Danzo could have planted evidence that the Uchiha attacked first or some shit.

Stopping Fugaku alone won't quell the rebellion. He had to have enough followers since they could get the attention of Danzo and Hiruzen in the first place. And 10 year cooldown for KA, so...

The coup would have put Uchiha in power. One Militia taking over the other. This talk of war is rubbish, when all these regimes are Military nexuses. I would go for putting the Elders to death to clean the slate of Konoha's blighted political strong hold and handing the power over to the Uchihas. This would have put an end to Tobirama's self-serving Military policies for good.
