Yeah, they are going to cancel a manga that is making them a fortune, I am sure the words of people who read it for free completely outdo the massive amount of people who pay for the manga and the merchandise.

Umm low character development is often the main reason why many movies/shows get low ratings. The same goes for manga, though I am not able to find any professional critics that reviews them.

Many types of media and art don't revolve around the development of the characters. There have been lots of good movies, shows, and manga that have focus more on other aspects of the story rather than developing the characters.

However the point of my post is that the people who actually buy Kishi's product aren't booing, and in the end it's consumers not critics that decide the worth of a product.

i would have sucked up obito's chakra trough the chakra rod when he was in trouble with the juubi almost taking him over..
but this manga is too soft for that to happen.. the protagonist needs to be a nice person.
i would have explained that kurama's yin chakra was needed for sage mode instead of making up a bullsh** story about how it was because of kurama not wanting him to use sage mode etc..
oh, and i would make it 100% clear that tsunade and sakura are fodder.. just to piss some narutobase members off >.>

If I were Kishi - I would do what I wanted to do. It's an artist's perogative to basically, do whatever the hell they want with their work.
Any self respecting artist wouldn't, or at least shouldn't, be all about the money.

If he is the least bit sane, all the negative comments would wake him up.

For starters, not everything Kishimoto writes are his own decision: There are editors who guide what is written. So if you're blaming only Kishi, you're very wrong.

No, I wouldn't listen anybody. If I'm the mangaka, I write what I think is in MY own interest, and people who like MY work can keep buying it, and people who don't like my work can stop reading it. I won't do what market wants, because I don't want to be like the status quo... I want my own piece of art to shine as it is. I can't please everybody, and if someone think I should listen to reason, such arrogance doesn't deserve my effort. If you want a manga that ends the way you want, you can start writting your own work... mine has costed me 10 years, so nobody has the right to make criticism without knowing the meaning behind 10 years of experience, efforts, and time invested.

As if he'd listen to some angry would-be-critics and writers on a fanbase forum. He has a lot of readers who don't go raging on forums or youtube reviews all the time when something didn't turn out how they wanted it. You know, normal people who if they didn't like a chapter that much, simply move on and wait for the next chapter hoping for it to be better.

And seeing the way how they react (**** you kishi, the manga is shit nowadays, he should do this and that or i'll quit reading, etc...) they're probably angry kids or teens who don't know how to put things in perspective.

Jesus, yes, Obito went apeshit because Madara mind****ed the hell outta him and then leads Obito to the place where he witnesses his teammate and bestie kill his love interest. Very few people out there wouldnt at least suffer some severe PTSD after something like that...

This manga has depth, its not the same ole same ole op characters and bloodshed...villians just...existing and just somehow being born evil with no real cause other than wanting more power or money. These villians have depth in Naruto..sorry that doesnt interest most westerners it seems but for people who like to read something geared towards a older an mature audience (not 10-12yr olds)

And, yes, the villains have depth in them, that's why I like this manga. Not like, "I'm gonna kill everyone because I like it..yada yada"..Naruto's story has matured from Naruto wanting to become Hokage to now presently achieving true peace. Naruto killing Obito wouldn't bring his parents back..sure Obito deserves to die, but after regretting his actions and all. I don't know why people think Naruto is a seinen or some other genre manga. IT IS SHONEN GODAMMIT! It will be cheesy and kinda fairy-tail esque. And Naruto's fans sound like psychopaths lol. We want this character to die, etc..etc..

I'd wonder why everyone always b*tches about every choice I'd make, while my manga would be one of the most well-written one, with actual depth and perspective. Especially for a "mainstream" manga.

Then I'd realize 99% of those who b*tch about my manga will still be there next Wednesday to read their scanlated chapter. And I'd laugh.

There is depth to villainy. Why do you think Heath Ledger received an Oscar for his protrayal of the Joker? It's a pure villain that is also increadibily interesting to watch.

What about Anthony Hopkins for the character Hannibal? It's a legend within the acting community. A purely psychopathic/evil character that is defined by evil and cunning. An Oscar was won.

These characters has depth and are very villainous.

Oh ah, just because it's a Shonen doesn't mean anything. Look at Frieza from DBZ.

OT: @Senju Bean- preach bro preach. Villains with Post traumatic stress disoder are just pathetic and need just see a shrink and it is what apparently happens in Naruto and u get the phenomena now dubbed TALK NO JUSTU. Their is a certain quality that a chaotic villain brings to a story and for me its been lacking in Naruto. Naruto is a grt manga to be honest and has played an integral part in manga as a whole for sure and i think what Kishj does is Naruto and pple shld just wait and watch, its pple who think up their own endings and predictions that raise their voices most so a bit of advise, dont fan over a single part(say one charecter) of the work be a fan of the whole thing and u will probably see the sense to what Kishi is doin, if u choose to fan over a part of the work then fan over Kishimoto.
