An Uchiha who has already unlocked Mangekyo, say... Sasuke, steals a non-Uchihas eyes and makes them his own.
1) Can he unlock Sharingan on these eyes?
2) If he can unlock Sharingan on these eyes, would the unlocked Mangekyo look the same as his own?
3) If they don't look the same as his own, would they maybe have different powers?

I think that the Uchiha would be able to do so but they would develop the same MS technique or a variation of the one they already have. And possibly unlock Susano'o.

Well bear in mind that to start with all Uchiha have normal eyes, their eyes are nothing special. The eyes only become special when their brains undergo change in response to emotional turmoil causing the eyes to change. So once their brain has made that change, even with a new pair of normal eyes, that first change can't take place again to cause those eyes to augment into sharingan. However, there is the conflicting evidence of Kakashi causing his sharingan to become MS, despite his brain never having undergone any initial change, unless of course just having the sharingan implanted is sufficient to alter the recipient's brain.

In theory and Kishi logic. However it's doubtful. Although, Kakashi's eyes gained the MS for the duration Obito's chakra/soul was in his body. I guess that answers the question.

Kakashi's eyes only temporarily gained MS as a result of Obito basically possessing him.

According to Tobirama, yes.

1. They could make those eyes into Sharingan because as stated by Tobirama "When an Uchiha suffers severe trauma, a special chakra sprouts from the brain to their eyes awakening the Sharingan.
2. The Sharingan is dependent upon the chakra of the Uchiha, the abilities due to unknown variables.
3. They may be different forms of trauma unlocking different parts of the Sharingan, so this is unknown.

I assume what you meant to imply is that once their brain gets "unlocked" so to speak, then it would automatically transform any normal eyes transplanted into the sharingan? This would again be contradicted by Kakashi who activated MS despite not being an Uchiha, unless just having that sharingan transplanted caused his brain to unlock, but if that was the case, his other eye should've changed as well. So idk, the whole concept is very murky. I really don't think Kishi thought it through when he brought Kakashi into the equation.

It would different than the first pair of eyes, every set of eyes is different. And you don't need to be an Uchiha to unlock the sharingan if you posses their eyes.

The only way I can think of it that makes sense is that the initial awakening of the sharingan, triggered by the Uchihas brain undergoing the change is the only time the brain is affecting the eyes, and then the MS transformation, although triggered by emotion, occurs only through the eyes. So basically I think it would be theoretically possible for an Uchiha member to unlock MS in a new pair of already awakened base sharingan, but not with a normal pair of eyes, because that initial awakening in their brain has already taken place.

Every uchihia starts with normal eyes. Its useless for oro to steal a uchiha body which did not trigger sharingan in their brains. Also if someone steals normal sharingan he cant develop it further to ms/EMS.

As for rinnegan its highly possibly that it only mutates with the indra influence

Kakashi already showed that a non-Uchiha transplanted with a sharingan can awaken MS.

That's my point.. :| If it was an Uchiha transplanting eyes it should be the reverse, but same conclusion; theoretically of course.

Can you say for sure it did not happen when obito did? Same moment?

It did happen simultaneously but that was actually completely coincidental, because it was triggered for both of them by the same event. Kakashi was emotionally crushed at killing Rin, and Obito was traumatized by seeing Kakashi betray her.

If the mangekyou always activates simultaneously, regardless of where the other eye is, then that would create some interesting implications. One Uchiha loses one of his eyes during a war for instance. Some enemy ninja is running around with one of their eyes. That Uchiha awakens his MS and simultaneously empowers his greatest enemy.

yeah but the chakra flow in the brain is a only uchiha feat, like the senju have their life force. Kakashi cant have those special flows in his brain. Their sharingans are chakra connected. Thats why they have the same kamui dimension imo. I doubt its cause kamui is one special ability, its because of the chakra connection which also triggers the MS when Obito did. ^_^

Exactly. Theoretically if a pair of already awakened base sharingan are always linked, then when that base sharingan becomes MS, they both become MS, even if the other eye in in an enemy's eye socket. As long as you steal the sharingan after it's been awakened it'd just be a waiting game until you get a powerup, unless the Uchiha who owns the other eye dies before he upgrades to MS.

Uchiha's produce special chakra from the brain that affects the optic nerves and thus awakens the Sharingan. With Kakashi, Obito's chakra affect Kakashi's optic nerves and temporarily gave him the Sharingan as well.

So yeah, it doesn't matter whose eyes they get. That pretty much makes MS/EMS completely bullshit though.
