I wouldn't say Akainu vs Ace was much of a fight.

It was just Ace raging at Akainu and then damaging himself by punching Lava, and then Ace dying. While Ace vs Blackbeard was a real fight, they exchanged a few hits and so on. Akainu was the toughest opponent, but I'd say his fight against Blackbeard was tougher, in terms of the fight itself and not the outcome of the fight.
