The only thing he did good was murdering the uchiha. He didn't give info to the leaf on the akatsuki, he didn't in any way shape or form slow down their plans. He didn't kill oro.

Well so did Danzo but what he did doesn't mean he should be Hokage over other choices.

Sasuke referred to Itachi's actions as an official Konoha ninja, not as a undercover member in Akatsuki.

Well considering Sasuke is a missing ninja turned S rank criminal, I doubt he could make any decisions of what the Hokage and council would deem official ninja especially when they don't even know about it since only Kakashi, Naruto, and Yamato knew and Itachi asked Naruto to keep it that way.

Itachi told Kisame to kill Kakashi in part 1 lol sure he was risking 1 life fore thousands but he still did that no matter what. Itachi and Kisame went after Naruto again and was going to let Kisame capture Naruto by cutting off his legs. He had to do these things to be able to protect Konoha but Obito knew Itachi was dying from the disease so at most it was prolonging Obito's attack. Itachi didn't know Sasuke was going to meet Deidara and he actually thought Sasuke died when Nagato told him so; Kisame asked him if he was crying out in the rain.

He did more for the village then other kages. (Hiruzen, Minato [indirectly caused kyubi attack]) Saved the village by doing what a certain hokage was scared to do, then endured the pain of killing his clan and abandoning someone he loved.

Still cant see an uchiha as a hokage though. Being on the verge f extinction and everything.

Itachi did more than Hiruzen who fought in the first war, was Hokage during the second and third wars (gave orders that helped them win battles), and ensured peace in the village in his 50 or so years as Hokage with certain mistakes here and there. Minato fought in the third war and won many battles there which saved many of his comrades life. He also gave Naruto what he needed to become the hero that he did and sealed some of his chakra and Kushina's chakra in Naruto to ensure they can help Naruto at different points in his life. He prevented the Cloud village from getting the 9 tails that was in Kushina when he was a kid, pass down his teachings to his students such as Kakashi who helped the future of the village, protected Konoha from Obito and Kirama as well as giving his life to ensure Konoha didn't fall short in the power balance and condemn his son a life without at least one of his parents to give him power to use to fight Obito.

You left out that Obito was playing on taking out the Uchihas and probably would have himself since no one in that clan is beating his Kamui and Sasuke said only a few had the Sharingan at those times.

He spied on Akatsuki, relayed Intel about Akatsuki to Konoha.

He prevented a civil war within Konoha, even though he could have said no.

Jiraiya gave info to Konoha about Akatsuki, he's been spying on them since Orochimaru joined them which is years before Itachi was even born. We don't even know if the coup would have happened, Obito was planning on killing the Uchihas, Itachi found this out and asked to join and from there they made the deal that Itachi will join Akatsuki if "Madara" don't attack Konoha. So Obito would have still attacked the Uchihas even if Itachi didn't join in. Sure Itachi could have warned the Uchihas but warning them that Madara is still alive and want them dead would freak them out and they'll ask Hiruzen for help which would be a way to reunite them.

He didn't stop Obito, he prolonged it, Obito knew Itachi was dying from the disease remember? And he still sent Hidan and Kakuza after Naruto and they were heading to Konoha. Obito wanted the 9 tails but since the Bijuus have to be sealed in order, he can easily wait until he had the others so he wasn't in a rush plus it took time just to seal 1 Bijuu.

True but if he didn't then Obito would have still went after them since Itachi discovered "Madara" planning on attacking Uchihas and had him join him. Sasuke said he didn't think Itachi could kill all of the Uchihas but we know Obito could have with his Kamui already allowing him to easily kill Jounins (Mist village Anbu) and that was before being trained by Madara. He can literally phase in a house, kill people and move on to the next target while they slept.

Plus when you put Uchihas vs a 7 years younger Hiruzen, Danzo (who easily beat Shusui who was an elite Uchiha like Itachi), both Anbu groups of Hiruzen and Danzo, Hyuuga clan, Nara clan, Ino clan, Choji clan, Shino clan, Sarutobi clan, Kibs clan, the other Jounins and Chunins then it doesn't look like Konoha would have that much trouble especially when Sasuke said only a select few had Sharingans (said this in part 1 so related to Uchihas in the time they were alive).

You do know only a select few Uchihas had the Sharingan right? Sasuje stated that in part 1 so it was pertaining the Uchihas at the time they lived. Danzo himself said Hiruzen and his forces would had been enough.

OT. Itachi had a Hokage wisdom more after he died because what he did to Sasuke isn't what a sane person should do. He created a larger problem for the war because of that, Itachi understood what he did wrong after his death so at that time he would have been a good Hokage and even pushed Naruto in the right way when he was close to drifting off it.

Itachi needed to show some of his prowess. Could've killed him instead, but he only put Kakashi in a coma. Basically he showed as much of his power as he could without killing kakashi, (remember Kakashi was his biatch in Anbu, when Itachi was 13! Hahaaha)

2. Tried to kidnap Naruto and only backed off when Jiraiya intervened.
He chose to not kill the guy who he was working for

Why didn't he let Jiraiya kill Kisame and why didn't he ever kill one of Akatsuki's himself? He's skilled, he could've easily made it look like Konoha got him.

3. Let Deidara nearly kill Sasuke- Deidara only failed because he got angry and blew up.
Itachi loved Sasuke. If he believed Deidara was too strong, he wouldn't allow him to fight his little brother.
But, with his neverending wisdom, predicted that Sasuke will prevail, and that is precisely what happened

4. Tried to mindf*** Kakashi again in part 2 and failed.
dont remember this, but in any case, all he did against konoha people is obviously not bad-intended. Kind of like an actor, playing really good xD, since he was a spy


So what exactly did Itachi do for Konoha, because so far all I see is bad stuff.
