The story is longer about naruto. Ignorant people will say "dont like it dont read it." ok if you dont like how your kid turned out after ten years do you stop parenting them? No you stick with it till the end because you love them. Thats how i feel about the series. The plot changed from number one knuckle head ninja trying to be the best to ghosts and gods never ending family feud. Last chapter pretty much confirmed none of the major characters had their own will everything was either fate, bz, or incarnations. You might say oh but naruto is powerful he achieved his goal! Not really how much of it is actually his own effort? Sm arguably the best thing naruto did by himself wasnt even enough to beat pain had to use kurama which was destined to be his so he could fight sasuke. Even his current power up is his only because hagoromo couldnt comeback qnd beat kaguya himself this applies for sasuke aswell.

Its gotten to the point where Kishi is neglecting other characters to focus on Naruto.

you forgot none of it is his own efforts its ashuras and hagoromos. Even if hes getting attention that doesnt mean the story is about him (anymore atleast). For example most people think fairy tail is about natsu.. But lucy is actually the main character.

I used to prefer the old days when Naruto was a loser kid who had to bust his ass to get strong.There was no destiny of him being a chosen one and the themes back in Part 1 used to be about making your own path in life.

There was no super power ancient families or reincarnations either.

No obito was in the same category until he got tnj he was doing things of his free will at that point not manipulated by fate nor incarnations.

I'd say that regardless of whether things were predestined/controlled in some way by another factor; Naruto (as well as almost all of the main characters other than the 'Villains') all reflected the Will of Fire.

Hashirama, Hiruzen, Naruto, Neji, Minato, Shisui, Kakashi, ......even current Obito. From what I remember, that is consistent with how the Manga started. A few things could have been done differently, sure. But it's not as bad as you are making it out to be.

How I feel about this matter:

We all have our own opinions and personal preferences, we shouldn't try to force it on others who already don't share the same opinion or personal preference about A certain someone or something.. Hell look at the Gaming Community, countless people try-hard to defend their fave gaming company on sites like Youtube but they should use their voices to make their company they like all the more better instead of spreading hate!
