kakashi and gaara had more sad past.
sad =/= going through more
kakashi and gaara had more sad past.
Kakashi was used to the death scene as he was a Chuunin, so it wouldnt affect him as much as it would affect someone who has never witnessed death before... Especially one committed by the hands of his brother/role model, and not just a single family member, but the whole clan was murdered, and then on top of that, as if that was not enough, Itachi tortured Sasuke that same night via genjutsu.I agree with everything bar the bold.
Yes, the Uchiha were going to defect and well, commit treason. That's not justified in any cirumstance, considering that they only lived in a different district and nothing more. They lived there for years, but thought of rebelling at the point that the village was at its most peaceful. They were suspected for the Kyuubi incident, but they were all absent on the night of the attack and we'll never know why (fillers count for nothing). Sasuke lacked the ability to comprehend that taking power by causing conflict was not a good thing and he supports the Uchiha no matter what they do. That shows some weakmindedness.
The only ones in Konoha who have anything to do with the deaths of his clanmates are Homura, Hiruzen, Danzo, and Koharu. Literally no one else. It is justified for him to kill the elders, but an entire village that know nothing? No. W/ the Uchiha all the adults knew, Uchiha go insane when they lose someone/become hate-filled and greater conflict was avoided (massacre was definitely not the best way to do things, though). Killing an entire village was overkill. If he really wanted to go for an "Eye for an eye" theme, he could have killed only the clans of the elders...but an entire village. That's just randomly killing w/o reason and not remotely justifiable. It actually showed that he didn't really love Itachi- he doesn't value anything about him. He just admired him, but didn't care for his self-sacrifice.
Uchiha bros are 5 years apart. Itachi was 13 and Sasuke was 8. Kakashi became a Chuunin at age 6. He experienced something worse at a younger age.
@black I am inferring that there was a chance he could have avoided Rin, but I guess plot demanded itRed@His father legacy ended in a suicide.
Black@I don't know why that matter, this is not a versus thread
If a past is sad, it allows the audience to feel sympathy for a character. Such as when a person does something they really don't want to, but are either forced to or know that have to. A character's rationale is a significant factor as well.sad =/= going through more
it doesn't matter how many people you lose... even if it was one person...if you really loved them it's still hard to lose them...I agree with everything bar the bold.

Also, Sasuke didn't lose everything. He lost his parents and Itachi. He didn't know the others in the clan and had a few chitchats with his Aunt and Uncle. The others, he had no feelings for. He still had a village of people praising him and he admitted that Naruto was like a brother to him. He also cares/cared for Sakura and Kakashi. Team 7 gave him closure.

I don't know why you are bringing Obito on the legacy of Sakumo@black I am inferring that there was a chance he could have avoided Rin, but I guess plot demanded it
@red Ok? Obito's legacy ended in getting crushed by a rock (At the moment it was believed he was dead), but then turning psycho and wanting to enslave the world via Infinite Tsukuyomi. But I guess Obito's was more important because Kakashi at least got something out of it Lol
Obito reminded Kakashi what his father died for, making him believe his father died a hero protecting his comrades rather than a coward who failed the missionI don't know why you are bringing Obito on the legacy of Sakumo
Ok, I'm going to say this as someone who appreciates Sasuke's character, so just keep this in mind, please:Kakashi was used to the death scene as he was a Chuunin, so it wouldnt affect him as much as it would affect someone who has never witnessed death before... village have nothing with uchiha massacre. it's only danzo and elders mistake.You tell me what would you do worship the village that was responsible for death of your family, that made your life hell or take revenge on them.
