Although they have unlimited chakra and regenerative capabilities, it does not mean that they can continue fighting non-stop without getting tired/losing energy.

Think about it like this. You go to the movies and get a medium bucket of popcorn with unlimited refills. Let's say you eat all the popcorn in the bucket. Now you have to go back to the counter and get more to fill it back up. Since you have a medium, you can't fill it up with the same amount of popcorn that would be in a large.

That's the same deal with Edos. They have unlimited chakra and stamina, but only up to the limitations they had when they were alive. Once they run out of energy, they are able to refill it after a bit of time UP TO the limits they had when they were alive. If you had a limit of 1000 chakra when you were alive, you can't refill to 2000 as an edo. You have to go back to 0, then over time refill back to 1000. Hope I cleared up this huge misconception..

I'm always too god damn lazy to go to the counter to get a refill though, so I think I would suck as an Edo Tensei.

the regerative abilities are the same as the chakra ones.
chakra=physical energy+spiritual energy.
physical energy=stamina,energy of the body and is the reason why people have limited chakra
in ET the body regenerates really fast,that's why their chakra does too to the point they won't really notice.that's why my friends edos have unlimited chakra.

But it's logical to achieve these conclusions given the evidences in the manga. It's called thinking. That might have never been stated, but the behavior of the edos, their actions, their usage of jutsus can make people conclude what the OP said.
We can't just expect that everything will be given to us, we have to think by ourselves.

Great thread, OP. I only disagree when you said that it takes time for the chakra to refill. I think that, just like someone said, the chakra can regenerate as fast as the body heals. That's why the have unlimited chakra, because they use the jutsus but the energy is recovered fast, but without exceding the original reserves.
Or at least it regeneratea much faster than when they were alive.

It doesn't need to be stated explicitly. If you paid attention to how edos fight you would have noticed. Just in today's chapter Hashirama was panting heavily, a few chapters ago Minato couldn't warp Naruto away from the Shinju branches because he was out of chakra. Use your brain, not everything is black and white.

Let's say they use a grand scale attack, or multiple attacks that take up a hefty amount of chakra. It will take longer for them to replenish it. Same for regeneration. If they take a lot of damage it will take longer for them to regenerate i.e Hiruzen getting his top half blown off.

Yeah, I guess you have a point. Hashirama looked kind of tired today, and from sometime on, he and madara started the taijutsu fight.
